”We had a great stay overall. I guess the only downside was the staff being inattentive. The house keeper was excellent but it was when we went to the pool and the pool bar was closed in late June. Granted there was a sign that said “call this number if pool bar is closed and need service” but we called and left a voicemail and never heard back or had anyone come outside. Also we called to have the fire pit outside the Mansfield house put on and the staff said they would but they did not. And as...

”Great property. The beds could have been a little more comfortable (we felt like the mattresses in our first room were very saggy) but they moved us to another room upon request which was better. Very helpful staff, hotel was centrally located to nearby hiking and other activities. All in all we had a great time!”

”Rooms are clean and rustic, common areas are great for larger groups to socialize. Shared bathrooms were clean and we had the wing to ourselves so our party had more than enough amenities. Fridge, microwave, sink, coffee supplies in shared kitchen. Recommend bringing in bottled water. Attached Bistro was wonderful - great food / bar / staff. A really great rural VT experience! ”

”Room was so small not as shown in the picture. Sink was outside the Bathroom. Who does that? No brake fast. Only some snacks. There was a big building but gave us the room adjesent to it in a small structure looks like a cheap motel with 4 to 5 rooms. Will never go or recommend anyone.”

”Would highly recommend AWOL. Excellent location walkable from the village, but also far enough to feel like you are in your own retreat. We stayed in the lodge and the room was very nice—good bed, TV, bathroom, amenities. The breakfast is terriific and much better than the standard free continental breakfast. It was rainy so didn’t use the hot tubs, hammock, etc. but it was all there.”
