Matkat – Alía

Hotel was a close taxi drive from aiport in an industrial/business like area in Madrid. Unfortunately the metro line closest to the hotel was under renovation, so the only option to go downtown was the bus 28. Bus stop was very close and the commute was easy with only the bus or by changing into metro, took about 30 min. Hotel was nice and clean, but there is no gym. Restaurant is open until 23 in the evening. There are restaurants close by, but many were closed in August. No super market close by. The breakfast is good. The bed in our room was great, wide and firm. Air-conditioning worked well. There was free water bottles offered, but otherwise the minibar was empty. There is a vending machine in the lobby where you could get drinks ans snacks though. Hotel staff was mostly friendly and spoke English.
