When Sue found out that we had to leave early for the airport after the last night, instead of the breakfast she prepared three bags of 'survival kit' with fruit and biscuits to bring with us. ”Lovely stay. I misjudged my arrival time and arrived around 10:15pm, way after the 7pm check-in deadline. I did communicate with Francesca (owner) at 8pm that I would be late. She was super sweet and accommodating and I apologized several times. I would definitely stay again. Great room, location, breakfast was amazing. Highly recommend!”

”The Shawlee Cottage is a convenient place to stay when you have a car as it is a short drive to Glasgow and the surrounding areas. The owners Sandy and Cathy make an effort to have a conversation with you around the breakfast table, and they sure do have stories to share. They make your stay very welcoming. ”

Clean and quiet, away from the bustle. of the city but close enough to easily access Edinburgh as well as walking distance to the village of East Calder with restaurants and pubs.
