”I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it wasn’t the most comfortable experience. The room itself was just okay—basic but functional. However, it didn’t feel very clean. There was an awful smell in the room that never went away. There were visible marks on the walls, a stale smell, and the bathroom could definitely use a more thorough scrubbing. ”Ficamos três dias e ocorreu tudo bem e tranquilo, o hotel é grande, espaçoso e está muito bem localizado dentro das muralhas de Almeida, com fácil acesso e muitas vagas para estacionar o veículo em frente ao hotel. A vista também valoriza o local. O melhor mesmo é o atendimento do Luís que nos recepcionou com total atenção, cuidado e gentileza. A limpeza e o cheiro perfumado por todo hotel é bem agradável. ”

”We chose this for an overnight stop, with our pet furry friend, on our way from Santander to Portuguese Silver Coast. Pet friendly and self-catering appealed to us. The communication and the welcome to the lovely property, from Sandra, was exceptional. She went out of her way to show us the accommodation and walk us through the pretty village to the local restaurant, telling us a little about the place as we went. ”Fantastic hotel, but the air conditioning had limited control, meaning we had to go to reception at 3am to get it switched back on as the room was very hot. Restaurant is superb quality, not cheap but worth treating yourself, the tiramasu is an experience. ”

”Stayed mainly to break up our journey from the Portuguese coast to the Mediterranean coast, but we were very pleased we stayed in the old town and at this hotel. They were both excellent. Beautifully appointed hotel, spacious bedroom and bathroom with lots of character. Friendly and helpful staff, lovely breakfast in a beautiful dining room, unfortunately the restaurant was temporarily closed but we were able to find one within walking distance.”
