âGrandhotel Giessbach is one of a kind hotel, we really enjoyed historical and authentic athmosphere in the hotel. The service was very good and views, nature, details and beautifully restored building with art and historical stories make this hotel unforgettable.â
âThe hotel is located in Meiringen, which is connected to Interlakhen OST and Luzern by train. Lake Brienz is also pretty close to the property. The room was spacious, had all amenities. Though like many other Intrelaken Hotels, the hotel does not have AC, however, they provided table fan, which is sufficient. Hotel provides a free pass to ride to local cable car and public bus services. â
âWe had a great time in Brienz. The hotel room was very clean and nice. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff is very helpful. It is easy walkable distance from the station. â
âThe hotel was right across the street from the lake. Delicious breakfast and great location in a beautiful, quiet town. Would definitely recommend this hotel and if in the area I would stay here again!â
âBreakfast was really good and the lobby was beautiful. But the room was not so nice. It was kind of old and shower curtains were dirty. There was not so good air in the room.â

âWe stayed for five nights with my husband in July 2024. The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, and the starting points for daily hiking trips. The service was excellent, and we got great hiking tips. The value for money is very good, and the breakfast tasty. â

âThis hotel is outside the city of Lucerne but only 20 minutes away. It is nice and peaceful, which was our preference. The Mt. Pilatus train station in Alpnachstadt is just a few minutes away. We got to enjoy both sunset and sunrise from our balcony.
The staff were friendly and professional and the room was clean and uniquely charming but with modern conveniences. The restaurant served excellent local favorite dishes.
We look forward to another stay in the coming years.

"Very sympatic hotel, great service and location! The breakfast was wonderful and the breakfast room lovely. After breakfast time it was lounge and you could eat your own food and have coffee on the house. There was also a fridgerator with soft drinks and wine at very reasonable prices. Only down side was that we stayed there only one night. Next time 3 nights at least! "
