”Lovely room, had everything you needed and was put together really well. Really convenient location and even though it was near the main road it was actually really quiet during sleeping hours. I’d stay there again if back in Bakewell. ”

”I am so happy we stayed at the Pilsley Inn. It is located in a lovely little village just outside of Chatsworth House. I felt like I had stepped back in time. We only stayed one night as our itinerary was very full, but I would definitely recommend this Inn. the people were friendly, and it was a perfect stay for my English holiday!”

”We had a wonderful stay, the staff were very welcoming, the room comfortable and well appointed, even down to a dog bowl being available. The breakfast bag was very welcome, as well as a coffee machine for the morning. We'll hopefully be back sometime!”

”The room was very clean and tidy! Staff are very friendly, the breakfast is amazing very filling! And the parking is very easy too access but when there are a few guests staying the car park can get very tight, overall really good and best bit its only 17 mins drive too Alton towers from there ”

”The Family Tree is wonderful. There aren’t many places we would make a point of going back to but we will go back to The Family tree. Breakfast excellent ; staff, and we single out Linda because she went the extra mile to help us, are great. ”

”Loved this place. The setting is beautiful as was our room. A real mixture of old and new that worked perfectly. The staff were really friendly and attentive and we truly felt welcome. We opted for the pie for dinner and I can honestly say, it was the best pie I have ever eaten. The pastry was amazing and it was filled to the max with the ham and leek. My only criticism is that I didn’t really rate the mattress, the bed was too hard for me. Additionally, a blind on the Velux window would be...

”Good breakfast. Good choice of beer in the pub at a reasonable price. Additional specials board for the evening meals. Rooms as expected.”

”Dog friendly and in good location. Very handy for one night stopover and would use again. Room could do with a bit of deep cleaning/ maintenence in some places, particularly mould around bathroom window frame. ”

”There was only one member of staff there over our 2 day stay & she was really nice and helpful (she seemed to be covering reception, housekeeping & kitchen). Got to say all the public areas could do with a good hoover and the skylight in our room was covered in green algae. Our room was clean (apart from the skylights) but small. Breakfast was really poor for the price we paid. Hotel in general needs a good update as has loads of potential.”
