- Stay cancellation guarantee for Lockdown = In the event that you have to cancel your stay due to lockdowns issued by governments in the 30 days prior to check-in due to the evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic: national lockdown Italy; local lockdown in Italy concerning the area in which the booked villa is located ("red" area or impossible to reach due to official restrictions on free circulation); national lockdown of your country of residence; local lockdown in Italy in the Municipality or in the area of residence.

Villa Irene is located near Montecarlo di Lucca, a small medieval town on the rolling hills of Lucca, covered with olive trees and vineyards. Montecarlo is a typical borgo a few kilometres from Lucca, located in a strategic position for exploring the surrounding area or for visiting Florence, Pisa or the Versilia coast with its golden beaches and renowned nightlife. The villa has been tastefully restored by the owners with the typical materials of Tuscan tradition such as the floors in travertine or wood in the bedrooms, in stone and terracotta. The villa enjoys a panoramic position over the Val di Nievole, dotted with small villages that light up like a nativity scene at dusk. The villa is surrounded by a green lawn adorned with fruit trees and flowering areas as well as aromatic herbs ideal for preparing the typical dishes of Tuscan tradition. Within the park is the splendid swimming pool for the exclusive use of guests. The villa has two floors with, on the ground floor, the living areas with typical Tuscan kitchen and, on the top floor, the bedrooms with view. The strong points of the property are the set-up outdoor areas such as the panoramic terrace with a table for your evening meals and the external living area with shade sail. To one side is the portico next to the kitchen with a large table while a few metres away is the pool area equipped with comfortable sunbeds and gazebo with living area. A short distance away are the renowned spas of Montecatini Terme and Monsummano Terme with its famous Grotta Giusti. No less important is the proximity to the Chiesina Uzzanese exit of the A11 motorway which will take you to Lucca, Pisa, Forte dei Marmi and Florence, as well as to all the other well-known tourist destinations of Tuscany. For cycling fans, the property stands on the Biogiro circuit, a route that passes through the most important towns in the province of Lucca, designed by a world-famous Italian cyclist. The proximity to the town of Collodi, famous for the puppet, Pinocchio, will allow the kids to spend a day full of fun and entertainment in the theme park, following and reliving the tale of Pinocchio (www.pinocchio.it). N.B. The owners reside in the basement of the villa; however, the garden and swimming pool are for the exclusive use of the guests. It should be noted that the owners are very discreet and will respect your privacy but, if necessary, will be at your disposal for any eventuality.
VILLA IRENE HAS BEEN SUBJECTED TO A CHECK-UP BY A TECHNICAL RESPONSIBLE BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON, TO ENSURE CONSISTENCY OF THE DESCRIPTION, ACCESSORIES LISTED ON THIS PAGE AND THEIR PRESENT STATE OF OPERATION/MAINTENANCE, TO GUARANTEE QUALITY, CLEANLINESS AND COMFORTS TO ALL CLIENTS WHO WILL STAY HERE.
Interior:
The property has two floors with various entrances on the ground floor. The main entrance, located next to the external portico, leads into the living area composed of TV corner with comfortable sofas communicating with the kitchen, a bathroom with shower and the dining room with access to the fully-equipped panoramic terrace. Upstairs is the sleeping area consisting of a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and two double bedrooms with adjacent bathroom. All the bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning.
Park:
In the most secluded area of the property, is the park with well-maintained lawn enriched by olive trees, cypresses, fruit trees and various aromatic herbs, all surrounded by multicoloured flowers that frame the splendid swimming pool where guests can chill out and relax. The area around the villa has been designed for your entertainment; in front is the terracotta-paved terrace with the outdoor dining and living areas and adjacent BBQ from where you can admire an incomparable panorama. To the side is a portico with a second external table next to the kitchen. Next to the entrance gate is the parking area in the garden, available to the owners, just 10 m from the main entrance.
Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.

Swimming Pool:
The swimming pool is located in the most secluded area of the property, 40 m from the villa and reached down two flights of steps, one from the terrace and a smaller one from the lawn. Rectangular and measuring 6 x12 m with the depth varying from 1.20 to 2.20 m, the pool is lined in light blue-coloured PVC with a hydromassage area and has internal lighting and Roman steps for access to the water. On the infinity edge side is a child's pool measuring 1 x 12 m with a depth of 65 cm. The solarium in terracotta is equipped with comfortable sunbeds while the nearby olive trees will provide shade for your rest. Next to the pool is a gazebo with table and chairs. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October.
