”The area looked beautiful in photos but it really was not feeling safe. We had an overnight before cruise and mainly just stayed in the room. The beach was lovely but we didn’t feel comfortable eating anywhere near this small hotel no elevator so be prepared to carry your luggage up stairs to higher floors. No where close to get a coffee in the morning.”

”I am extremely satisfied with my stay at El Navegante Hotel in Bayahibe! Check in process was easy. 24 hours before my expected arrival I sent the host a message through the expedia app and she responded with my room number and lock code to enter the room. I found the code lock to be extremely handy so I didn't have to worry about losing a key or key card while at the beach. This property is an apartment style building right in the neighborhood. ”The property was okay - it is on a main road so it can get quite noisy. The only negative we had was when we checked in. We were told that the machines were not working and we would have to pay in cash. We were told that the owner was looking to sell and she was only wanting cash. We did not enough in US dollars so the management wanted basically the equivalent in Euros. It was late and there was no point in haggling as there were no other places with any room because we were taking a cruise...

”It's definitely not what it used to be. I've stayed there many times during 2016 to 2020. It was lively, bright well staffed. Now it's a skeleton of what it once was. I stood 4 nights - 5 days went to breakfast the first day and after looking at it only had the coffee and left, i never went back i ate out for breakfast. The restaurants which once was the only restaurant i would eat lunch and dinner was not in service only for breakfast. The rooms looks as if it hasn't been painted in years. On...
