”Lovely stay at Matachica. Great staff and amenities. Only negative would be the sargassum which is out of their control. Shuttle to secret beach made up for it though”

”Resort was beautiful. Staff was amazing! Traveled July 28-August 1 with young adult children that wanted to experience everything. Sargassum was overwhelming, but resort did send messages ahead of our stay letting us know the situation. Resort is a bit off from all of the excursion activities. I would stay again with just my husband and I for a relaxing, all-inclusive experience. Rooms were very clean. Overall, 8/10.”

”Balcony views over the beach are nice and the through breeze on a hot day is a nice change from AC (the AC worked well).
Central location is easy walking distance for much of the north town.
Towels for the beach a nice touch.”

The biggest negative was spotty WiFi. Kept getting kicked off.

”The staff were fantastic. The room was very comfortable, clean, and spacious. We just stayed one night but plan on staying there again soon. Easy access to and from the airport.”

”We enjoyed our stay as a family of 4 adults and 2 teenagers. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The food was great. Everything was very clean. Summer time the sargassum is too thick to use the beach on the property but the staff works hard to clean it daily. Pool was perfect, fun games for kids to play at pool. Would stay again!”
