Situated in the pretty village of Elterwater in the Langdale Valley, Bens was once upon a time a wheelwright's workshop, now lovingly converted into a spacious ground floor property. Bens has fantastic views towards Elterwater Common and over towards High Close.

A couple of steps up lead to a level entrance on entering the cottage, the hallway leads through the house with bedrooms off from either side. The main double bedroom has a king-size bed, built in wardrobes, large chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. Across the hall the twin room has two single beds, built in wardrobes and small dresser, and an en-suite shower room. Continuing down the hall, to the left is the main house bathroom with shower over bath, and to the right the kitchen/dining room with Aga Style Esse electric range cooker. The lounge takes full advantage of the views with a floor to ceiling picture window looking out to High Close, the village common and fells beyond; A glass door opens from here to lead you down a few steps to a small sunny private and enclosed patio area with garden chairs. Lots of people sit out and admire the views with a well earned glass of wine! The property has exclusive parking on a private quiet road for one vehicle, along with a separate laundry room underneath the property.

Elterwater is a charming village in the heart of Langdale and the Lake District. The Britannia Inn is a welcoming local family pub and one of the most famous Lakeland pubs. For a more formal dining treat, the Eltermere Inn Hotel is only a short stroll away. The local village shop in Chapel Stile is less than a mile away and very well equipped for all your needs.
