Great place to stay outside of Amsterdam
We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It was clean and interior was also very nice. Room was also spacious enough and clean. Staff were very helpful and gave good tips for sightseeing. We left the hotel on Sunday morning before official breakfast time, but it was possible to order take-away breakfast during previous evening and this was great for us. Railway station is just 100m away and bus stop is next to hotel. Train takes 12 minutes to Amsterdam central station. Close to hotel there is also nice small centrum and shopping area. It's built around nice walking area along the canal. Good place for evening walk and also some shopping. There was also open market area close by. We actually spent one day in Zaandam which was not in our original plan. Local place to go is the old windmill park. Train takes you there also in less than 10 minutes. Definitely good place to visit and this tip we got from hotel reception. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking nice place to stay away from the Amsterdam city. Good connections with train (ticket to Amsterdam costs about 3,40€). Only minor thing to notice (and not directly related to hotel) is that Zaandam is outside of the GVB (Amsterdam public traffic) area, so GVB ticket is not valid there. For us this was not a big deal since the NS train connection was so fast and cheap.

A great hotel in a really convenient spot. 2 minutes from the station and same from town with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants if you fancy a change from the hotel bar and restaurant, which are both relly good and friendly. An easy 12 minute train ride and you are in the centre of Amsterdam with plenty to keep you entertained and loads of history to see. Highly recommend the canal tour .. we used eco boats who were great, but there are a lot of options.

Hotel is lovely and easy to reach from the Zaandam train station. The rooms are clean, but a bit sparse and could do with more furniture in them. The rooms do not match the sleekness of the hotel and are a little basic for the price. Would expect water to be available in the room and a better select of tea/coffee. The bar staff are lovely though and the drinks and snacks were very good.

First impression was not good as the girl that checked us in was grumpy and rude. All of the other desk staff were lovely after that. Initial impression of the room was not overwhelming. The bathroom floor had not been mopped, had to call for towels and toilet paper, were given 3 Kleenex in the box, shampoo was not enough for one person….. and the decor looks much older then the age of the hotel BUT the bed was super comfy so we had a good rest, the hotel was quiet, shower was great and the breakfast convenient (food wasn’t anything spectacular, but it did the trick). Good value for the money and close to the train, groceries, shopping, restaurants so a good deal overall.

Hotel was very clean ,very close to train station,staff was nice,breakfast was nice,bed and cussion was little bit hard but not very uncomfortable.Room was big and renovated ,big window which was nice for to have fresh air.Room cleaned every day,new towel soap,shower and body cream and hair conditioner replaced every day.there was hair dryer.If i go back to Amsterdam again I would definately stay in this hotel.Thanks to staff

The hotel is much nicer than it looks on the pictures. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. The bed was extremely comfortable. I can't remember when I slept so well in a hotel. The location is super convenient as well, just a minute from the train station.

Fantastic hotel with great breakfast and a great bar and evening snacks and meals, the location is fantastic for travel to amsterdam as it is right by the station and zaandam is also a great place. My only complaint is the staff were very stern and very slow with check in, also we came home late after a long day in amsterdam and wanted a shower before bed only to find the hotel cleaning staff had made up the bed and cleaned the bathroom but had taken all our towels and not replaced them so we had none in the room at all so had to go down and ask for more which took ages it was also dissapointing after a long day of walking and exploring.

Upon arrival at the hotel, you are greeted by a pleasant sleek decor and friendly reception staff. However, the positive experience quickly turned sour when I entered my room. It was small, dingy, and emitted a foul odor. Despite my request to view another room, I was informed that none were available for viewing and that they were all the same size. As a solo traveler who had booked a double deluxe room, I was extremely disappointed. The inconsistency in responses from different staff members regarding the room sizes was concerning. The room I was given was uncomfortably small, with limited space to move around. The carpets were dirty, the bedding subpar, and the only redeeming quality was the view from the window. The bathroom, on the other hand, was disproportionately large compared to the room itself, with a lingering unpleasant smell. The hotel's focus on renovating the restaurant and foyer rather than the rooms was evident. Despite the restaurant appearing nice and the staff being exceptional, I would not consider staying at this hotel again due to the unsatisfactory room conditions.
