Une belle adresse entre Toscane et Ombrie!
Un très bon séjour dans cette jolie maison sur les hauteurs avec une vue splendide sur la vallée du Tibre. Les hôtes sont très accueillants, arrangeants et discrets. Les lits sont bons ce qui est agréable en vacances ! Une adresse à recommander si vous aimez le calme et la tranquillité (mais du coup prévoir un peu de route pour visiter les alentours).

Heerlijke plek met prachtig uitzicht
Mooi in stijl gerestaureerde vakantiewoning. Heerlijk koel op een heuvel gelegen, de woning is ruim en netjes, de keuken compleet en de bedden prima. Het uitzicht heel erg mooi, we hebben er op de verschillende momenten van de dag ontzettend van genoten. Vroeg in de ochtend trok de nevel uit het dal en wisselde het uitzicht per minuut. Daarna een duik in het superschone zwembad. De dorpen Anghiari en Arezzo zijn makkelijk te bereiken en zeer de moeite waard en er zijn mooie wandelingen te maken vanuit het huis. In de nacht rustig en pikdonker, heel wat vallende sterren gezien. Kortom we hebben genoten!

Séjour dans un cadre magnifique admirablement restauré et préservé avec une vue somptueuse sur les collines toscanes. L emplacement est idéal pour visiter les villes de Florence, Sienne, Perouse, Assise et bien sûr Arezzo. Un grand merci aux propriétaires pour leur disponibilité et leur grande gentillesse. Toller Ort, und tolle Gastgeber
Wir hatten schon geahnt, dass wir das Haus ein wenig suchen müssen, haben es dann aber sehr schnell, dank einer guten Beschreibung unserer Vermieter gefunden. Ist es ein toller Ort, auf einer Anhöhe gelegen, gut durchlüftet auch an heißen Tagen. Die Besonderheit ist das gut sanierte alte Haus mit einem wunderbaren Pool samt umwerfenden Ausblick. Wir haben die Tage sehr genossen , da das Ferienhaus besonders günstig gelegen ist, kurze Wege nach Arezzo und anghiari, und auch ein guter Start nach Siena und San Marino waren möglich. Wir geben diesen kleinen Geheimtipp gern an unsere Freunde weiter. Die Vermieter machen tolle Marmelade, sehr zu empfehlen.

Magnifique séjour en pleine nature
Nous avons passés une semaine magnifique, immergés dans une nature préservée de la Scheggia avec une double vue sur la vallée de l'Arno et celle du Tibre. Nous avons pu bénéficier d'une température moins étouffante que dans la plaine. Idéalement situé "il Castellaccio", une maison chargée d'histoire mais très confortable, nous a permis de rayonner pour visiter la région de la Valteberina Toscane : Arrezo, Assise, Florence, Sienne ... un grand merci à nos hôtes Pier Francesco et Simonetta pour leur accueil très sympathique et leur français impeccable !

The second holiday was again fantastic
We were allowed to be guests of Simonetta and Pier Francesco for the second time and were again able to spend three wonderful weeks there. Everything was again well prepared for our stay, everything was clean, everything was lovingly furnished, we felt right at home. If you are looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful landscape with your family (and the dogs) and would like to get to know Tuscan life, you have come to the right place. Arezzo is not far and offers everything a holidaymaker is looking for.

Entspannte Tage zwischen Arno und Tiber
Wir waren besonders begeistert von der Ruhe, der Natur und den weiten Blicken, die sich vom Haus und Garten bieten. Auch heiße Tage waren wegen des steten leichten oder stärkeren Windes gut auszuhalten. Für die Kinder war das bestens gepflegte Schwimmbad eine große Freude. Für Ausflüge in das nördliche Umbrien und die Toskana ist das Haus ein guter Ausgangspunkt, man muss nur wissen, dass in Richtung Sansepolcro (gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ca. 15-20 Minuten) oder Arezzo jeweils eine "Passstrecke" zu fahren ist. Besonders reizvoll ist das näher gelegene Anghiari (Bäckerei, Metzgerei, kleine Lebensmittelläden, Restaurants). Die Vermieter, die im Nachbarhaus wohnen, sind sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und diskret. Das Olivenöl und die Konfitüren, die sie bzw. einer ihrer Söhne herstellen, sind sehr fein!

Ein Traum für Individualisten, Naturliebhaber und Ruhesuchende.
Wer die Einsamkeit und Ruhe sucht, dazu ein liebevoll gestaltetes, historisches Haus mit großem privaten Garten, oben auf dem Hügel mit einem fantastischen, weiten Blick über die Täler und Orte der Gegend, der wird sich sicher auch nicht daran stören, dass ein großer Pool Gelegenheit zur Erfrischung und zur Beschäftigung der Kinder bietet. Man kann derweil auf dem Stuhl im Garten Platz nehmen, einen Cafe trinken und den Blick in die Ferne schweifen lassen. Pier Francesco und seine gesamte Familie haben wirklich nichts dem Zufall überlassen, für die Gäste die schönsten Tage des Jahres unvergesslich zu machen, ohne dass irgendwas dabei aufdringlich oder unecht erscheint. Man merkt es überall: sie lieben ihre Gegend, ihre Häuser und sie lieben, was sie tun. Mit Freundlichkeit und klugem Blick stellen sich wunderbar auf ihre Gäste ein, niemals aufdringlich, aber immer offen. Man wird lange suchen müssen, etwas Vergleichbares zu finden - wir haben dergleichen jedenfalls noch nie erleben dürfen. Wir sind alle traurig nach Hause gefahren, aber wir haben eine wunderschöne Zeit in unseren Gedanken und auch unseren Herzen mitnehmen dürfen. Und dafür können wir nur sagen: Mille Grazie ! English: A dream for individualists, nature lovers and those looking for peace and quiet. If you are looking for solitude and tranquility, plus a lovingly designed, historic house with a large private garden, up on the hill with a fantastic, wide view over the valleys and villages in the area, you will certainly not mind the fact that a large pool offers the opportunity to refresh and keep the children busy. In the meantime, you can take a seat on the chair in the garden, have a coffee and let your gaze wander into the distance. Pier Francesco and his entire family really left nothing to chance to make the most beautiful days of the year unforgettable for the guests, without being intrusive or fake. You can tell it everywhere: they love their area, their houses and they love what they do. With friendliness and a wise eye, they prepare themselves wonderfully for their guests, never intrusive, but always open. It will take a long time to find something comparable - at least we have never seen anything like it. We all went home sad, but we were able to take a wonderful time with us in our minds and also in our hearts. And for that we can only say: Mille Grazie!

Beautiful, relaxing stay with pool and great views
We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Il Castellaccio. There are stunning views in all directions with lovely gardens and outdoor seating, and a great pool which we used many times. It is very quiet and the perfect place for a relaxing vacation. The private apartment is larger than we anticipated, which was great, and has beautiful views and nice light. We rented one of the two apartments that make up the old stone guest house (which stayed cool in the sun!). The hosts live in a separate house nearby, and were very kind and welcoming. The kitchen is well-equipped, and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. From the house, it was a short and scenic drive to the beautiful medieval town of Anghiari, and a slightly longer but easy drive to the larger city of Arezzo. There are also smaller towns even closer by with small shops for groceries and water, which you need to buy. Highly recommend!

Super destination pour vacances en famille au calme!!
Propriété superbe, très calme, isolée mais proche de tout tout de même. Propriétaires super sympas, serviables et discrets. Idéal pour une famille avec enfants, piscine privative au top, très bien entretenue avec une vue à couper le souffle. Tout le matériel pouvant être nécessaire pendant un séjour est disponible sur place, ou sur simple demande (lit et chaise bébé, ...) Encore un grand merci à Lorenzo pour son aide précieuse et sa gentillesse. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Tranquil Break.
Stayed for a week. Great welcome by Pier Francesco and Simonetta. A beautiful farmhouse with plenty of space inside and out. The view from the gardens are wonderful. Owing to the rural nature of the property, a hire car is an essential if you want to explore Tuscany I would say. The local town of Anghiari is lovely with lots of little trattoria. Would recommend to anyone looking to get away from it all! Would certainly stay again in the future if still available.

Wir haben eine total schöne Zeit im "Il Castellaccio" gehabt. Das Haus hat wirklich Charme und ist super gemütlich eingerichtet. Alles, was man braucht, ist vorhanden. Wir haben entspannte Stunden am Pool mit einem sensationellen Blick in die Landschaft genossen. Die Städte in der Umgebung mit ihren Altstädten laden mit ihren gemütlichen Gassen, Restaurants und Eisläden zum Verweilen ein und sind auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Die Vermieter Pier Francesco und Simonetta waren wirklich nett. Alles in Allem war es ein rundum gelungener Urlaub und wir kommen gerne noch mal wieder.

Absolute Ruhe pur! Traumhafte Aussicht
Als einzigste Negative Erfahrung empfanden wir die Wegbeschreibung in der Online-Beschreibung . Nachdem wir den Vermieter kontaktiert haben haben wir eine genauere Beschreibung bekommen und unsere Ziel gefunden, nachdem das Navigationsgerät die Adresse nicht inne hatte. Wir wurden herzlich vom Vermieter empfangen und aufgenommen. Bei Fragen hatten die Vermieter immer ein offenes Ohr. Gutes Englisch oder Italienisch zu sprechen ist von Vorteil, da nur die Schwiegertochter des Vermieters deutsch spricht, aber nicht immer da ist. Trotzdem sind es sehr nette Leute. Das Bauernhaus ist wie beschrieben, es ist alles vorhanden wie in der Anzeige aufgeführt. Wir und unser Hund haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Unser Hund konnte tagsüber immer frei laufen und wenn es ihm zu warm war, kühlte er sich auf den Steinfliesen im Haus ab. Nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit hatten wir aber an der Leine, da es einige Einheimische und exotische Tiere gibt (kleine Eidechsen, größere Spinnen, Hornissen, Bremsen, Füchse und Skorpione). Die Aussicht vom Pool auf das Tal ist traumhaft. Die Städte Anghiari, Arezzo und Sansepolcro sind 15-20 km entfernt. Zum Einkaufen ist also immer das Auto notwendig, da man den Pass hoch und runter fahren muss. Trotzdem ein super erholsamer Urlaub und eine tolle Gegend.👍

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche bei simonetta und pier francesco. Das pittoreske Haus hat unglaublich viel Charme. Das Anwesen ist sehr gepflegt und der Pool gross genug zum Schwimmen und sehr sauber. Der Ausblick ist gigantisch. Eine ideale Ausgangsbasis zum spazieren gehen und die Gegend mit dem Auto zu erkunden. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Sandra und bernd

Super ruhiges, sehr schön gelegenes Ferienhaus
Sehr schönes, ruhiges und schlicht eingerichtetes Ferienhaus - genauso wie wir es nach der Anzeige erwartet haben - mit einem großartigen Blick über die toskanische Landschaft und einem schönen Pool aus dem die Kinder kaum rauszukriegen waren. Gut gelegen für Ausflüge nach z.B. Arezzo, Siena ... Die Vermieter waren super freundlich und hilfsbereit und haben uns sogar mit Früchten aus Ihrem eigenen Garten versorgt. Wir hatten 2 super Wochen und werden, wenn wir mal wieder in die Toskana fahren, sicher wiederkommen.

Villa in Arezzo
Pier and his wife were GREAT to work with! The villa was well stocked and the showers were very good. Getting to the villa was OK (the mountain was at least 20-30 minutes to get up). We asked Pier and his wife to get a local chef to prepare a Tuscan meal for us and they found a perfect lady for us! The food was outstanding! I recommend this villa to those who want to experience the "true" Italy life! Also, the screens on the windows were a nice touch so that you could get the breeze but not the bugs.

Relaxing under the Tuscan sun
Beauitful property off the beaten path in Tuscany. Remote location but access fo stores within and restaurants withing 30 mins driving. The scenery is something I'll never forget along with the amazing pool. If you want to stay in Tuscany and have a car to bop around in this is the place to stay. Also very easy drive to Florence for a day trip! Also tip the drive way looks like it is the entrance to a restaurant but you need to go straight through the parking lot and keep going up a gravel road it will be on your right up and hill.

A Tuscan Dream
This amazing apartment is on the second floor of a 500 year old farm house. The views are wonderful from every window . We arrived in a heat wave and spent our visit swimming and lounging by the pool which looks over the valley and Tuscan hills. The simple kitchen was well supplied with cook wear and dishes. And the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. Pier and his family were great hosts, responded quickly to all of our inquiries. The house is in a very rural location so it is quiet with the occasional car driving past on the gravel road and many bird songs. For travellers who need a little reprieve from intense tourism this is the perfect place! I look forward to returning again!

Fantastische, autenthieke karkateristieke woning
Ruime en sfeervolle woning. Een genot om in te vertoeven. Het landschap is overweldigend. Pier Francesco en zijn vrouw zijn buitengewoon aardig. Als we iets nodig hadden, regelden ze het meteen. Ook veel privacy als je met twee stellen zou zijn. Er zitten heel veel vogels. De koekoek roept aldoor. Wat jammer dat we hier na 1 week weg moesten gaan. Locatie is moeilijk te vinden (de eerste keer). Google Maps stuurde ons het bos in. Tip: als je de bar, de Antico Posto di Restoro, ziet, sla daar van de grote weg af, en passeer langs de bar. Als je dat goed doet, is de beloning groot.

Casa grande in ambiente rurale, adatta a famiglia con bambini piccoli come la nostra.
Proprietari molto accoglienti e disponibili, i bambini si SN trovati benissimo in un ambiente incontaminato 😊 Possibile fare passeggiate a piedi e allo stesso tempo visitare dopo pochi km in auto cittadine interessanti come Anghiari, Sansepolcro, Arezzo, vere e proprie perle per gli amanti del Medio Evo. La casa è in una posizione molto particolare, in un cuneo tra Emilia, Toscana e Umbria. Ci torneremo sicuramente!

Ein wunderbarer Ort, um Ruhe, Entspannung und inneren Frieden zu finden
Einen ganz herzlichen Dank an Simonetta und Pier, aber auch an die ganze Familie für diese traumhaften 2 Wochen in Eurem wunderschönen Bauernhaus !! Simonetta und Pier waren in ihrer liebevollen und zurückhaltenden Art perfekte Gastgeber. Sie haben alles getan, um uns den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Es gab nichts, was wir vermißt haben. Die Ferienwohnung mit zwei Schlafzimmern, Bädern und einer großen Wohnküche bietet viel Raum, um sich richtig wohl zu fühlen. Die Ausstattung ist perfekt. Das Haus ist sehr schön im alten Stil restauriert, mit uralten Steinfliesen, einem großen Kamin und einem alten Steinfenster mit Steinwaschbecken, so wie es vermutlich früher hier üblich war. Alle, diejenigen, die alte Häuser lieben und eine gute Mischung aus antikem Charme und modernem Komfort suchen werden sich hier gut aufgehoben fühlen. Denn die Bäder sind top ausgestattet, die Schlafzimmer geräumig mit viel Licht tagsüber, die Nächte sind still, man hört vielleicht ab und zu ein Tier - überwiegend aber das Rauschen der Blätter im Wind und morgens das Zwitschern der Vögel. Der Garten läd zum Verweilen ein mit seinem weiten Blick über die Täler rechts und links. Ein schöner Pool zum Baden an heißen Tagen ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Der Blick vom Pool aus über das Tal ist unbeschreiblich schön. Rundherum gibt es viel Natur zum Wandern, aber auch kulturell ist die Gegend sehr interessant. Es gibt viele kleine und größere - zum Teil sehr alte Orte zu entdecken. Unsere Hunde, die dabei sein durften, haben sich ebenfalls wohlgefühlt. Sie lagen an heißen Tagen besonders gerne in der Kühle des Hauses auf den alten Steinfliesen. Insgesamt waren wir glücklich und zufrieden und bedanken uns sehr für die wundervolle Zeit bei Euch. Un lieu béni
Nous avons été très heureux durant ces 10 jours passés au Castellaccio, sur les hauteurs de la Scheggia. La beauté qui se dégage de ce lieu est puissante, le panorama époustouflant, les collines et toutes les variétés d'arbres en font un espace de contemplation inépuisable. L'histoire de ce lieu est extrêmement sensible, surtout quand elle est racontée par les propriétaires Pier Francesco et sa femme Simonetta, qui nous ont plus appris que tous les guides que nous avons pu lire sur la région. Je suis heureuse d'avoir pu rencontrer d'aussi belles personnes que je garderai longtemps dans ma mémoire. La maison est très agréable à vivre, et la piscine en surplomb est magnifique. Piero della Francesca et Saint François d'Assise nous ont guidés sur leur traces, pour un séjour d'une très grande qualité. Un très grand merci à nos hôtes !

Un lieu magnifique... préservé...avec un jardin et une piscine très agréables
La maison et le cadre sont superbes Le lieu est préservé, sauvage, reposant Et les propriétaires prévenants et accueillants Deux belles semaines pour nous.. tous les "musts" de Toscane ou d'Ombrie sont a portée de voiture Je recommande sans aucune hésitation !!

Tranquillamente in mezzo alla natura
Questo splendido casale ristrutturato con amore e perizia si trova immerso in una natura rigogliosa sul passo della Scheggia tra la valle del Tevere e quella dell'Arno. Conservati degli splendidi pavimenti del trecento e dei mobili di pregio. Bagni moderni, puliti e accessoriati con una grande doccia. Cucina completa anche del microonde. Nell'appartamento c'era di tutto fino agli utensili più piccoli ed al caffè. Prato all'inglese intorno al casale e piscina in cui i nostri ragazzi hanno sguazzato e noi ci siamo rinfrescati dalla calura estiva. Di notte la temperatura calava e si dormiva benissimo grazie anche agli ottimi materassi. Location ottima per visitare i numerosi borghi circostanti (Anghiari, Citerna, San Sepolcro, Arezzo) raggiungibili in 15-30 minuti su strade semi-deserte e rilassanti alla guida. Proprietari attenti e discreti e veramente disponibili a soddisfare esigenze ed a consigliare gli itinerari più interessanti. Avremmo desiderato tantissimo rimanere ma il lavoro incombeva. Ma già abbiamo pensato di ritornare. Che meraviglia!! Che pace!!!

Beautiful hilltop serenity
I loved this 500 year old farmhouse with stone floors and beamed ceilings. I had the building all to myself. Pier-Francesco, Simonetta, and Hamid were welcoming and extremely helpful hosts. I was greeted with a bottle of Chianti and a bowl of fresh-picked cherries. Each room had its own modern bathroom. Anghiari is the nearest city about 10 kms away and you can find everything you need there. It's about a two hour drive to Pisa and one to Florence or the heart of the Chianti region where I went for some challenging but soul-enriching bike rides. There are gorgeous views of the surrounding countryside from where the house sits atop a hill. It was a bit of a challenge to find (the start of the actual road up to the house looks like the driveway of a restaurant so I drove past it twice) but well worth it. Grazie for the great experience.

Paradiso
Une merveille ! Comme dans un rêve : le chant des oiseaux, le souffle de la brise dans la cime des arbres, l'odeur de l'herbe fraiche, le soleil du jardin, la fraicheur de la maison, le feu de cheminée en soirée...et surtout l'accueil sympathique des propriétaires, leur aide, un grand MERCI pour ce séjour reposant. Inscrit dans un écrin de verdure, il y tout ce dont l'humain a besoin : des promenades en forêt, la proximité d'une petite ville, l'accès facile et rapide aux splendides fresques des artistes de la renaissance, et un bon matelas !

Un séjour très agréable
Un site paradisiaque, loin de l'agitation des villes, au beau milieu de la nature. La maison était fort accueillante, usuelle et authentique. Les visites des merveilles de la Toscane nous ont comblé, de Sienne à Assise, de Florence à Pérouse. Et j'en passe. Nos hôtes Simonetta et Pier Francesco étaient charmants, discrets et attentionnés. Merci à vous deux. Je ne peux que vous recommander ce lieu pour des vacances agréables et reposantes. Parfait pour une famille à la recherche de tranquillité. Difficile de trouver mieux. Xavier
