”Auton sai parkkiin kadunvarteen suoraan hotellin eteen. Ystävällinen henkilökunta otti vastaan. Söin illalliseksi hampurilaisen ulkona ja ateria oli maittava. Hotelli oli hiljainen ja huoneeni oli halvimmasta päästä, wc ja suihku oli käytävällä. Olin niiden ainoa käyttäjä. Aamiainen kysyttiin etukäteen ja pöytään oli katettu huoneen numerolla paikka. Hotellin wifi oli tosi nopea verrattuna yleisesti tarjolla oleviin ilmaisiin verkkoihin. Hotellia vastapäätä on suklaatehdas, kannattaa vierailla.”

”Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. The owner did his best to accommodate our needs during our short stay, and is still finding his feet a little having only recently taken on the business. ”This is a beautifully appointed shepherd's hut on the edge of a pretty and quiet village in the North Pennines. Lots of walking routes nearby and just a few miles from Appleby-in-Westmoreland. We enjoyed our stay very much though were disappointed that the internet signal was so poor. The TV would not stream smoothly so not worth having it there at the moment. Still, this was a small sacrifice for the pleasure of experiencing tiny living life for a few days. Everything else worked really...

”Nice location (quite remote and quiet) and friendly staff. Some gaps in the breakfast service, e.g. lacking glasses, plates etc. And the breakfast ended already at 9 which was very early for me. The condition of the hotel was quite worn-out and occasionally dirty, there were several spiderwebs and spiders in the hallway and the smell of our room was musty. ”
