”Lovely property. You need a car if going to old Matera. Grocery store close by. Pretty grounds and great pool (although like most Italian pools, not heated.) we found easy parking lots near the historic area so it is ok. The photos are deceiving because the spa whirlpool tub is not included - you have to pay 100 euro per couple to use those amenities. That should be made clear in the listing or they shouldn't show the photos. " Cave" hotel room is fun but only a window at door and in bathroom....

Al llegar nos dimos cuenta que estaba más lejos de lo que calculamos, pero el staff fue super amable para explicarnos cómo llegar y hacernos saber las diferentes opciones. Al final elegimos movernos en bus y fue muy práctico y rápido. El hotel es bonito, limpio, moderno. La habitación es cómoda y agradable. ”

”Very clean and quiet, comfortable bed, clear information given at checkin and Giorgia helped us to arrange a taxi when we left. The breakfast was very restrictive, a voucher for a coffee and a croissant at a nearby bar and they wouldn't even let my friend (who doesn't drink coffee) have a tea instead. A water dispenser so we don't have to keep using plastic bottles would be better.”

”I really liked that there was everything you could need to be comfortable. You can tell there is someone considerate behind the administration. There was abundant drinking water, teas and coffee, water boiler, cups, etc in the common area. In the bathroom, shower cap, soap, and other amenities, enough towels for all the guests (this is not always the case). The family room was great with two rooms and ac in each one. Wifi worked well and the owner is super nice. Breakfast was simple but...

”The room was very clean and walkable around Matera. They also allow luggage storage for free before checkin which was much appreciated to drop off and explore in the meantime. I would stay again!”

I'd like to let you know that the out door patio lights were NOT working. Maybe a bulb issue. That provided a security issue for all of your guest, but especially for the elderly ones. Safety first”

”Cave B&B. Right at the heart of old Matera city. Driving there is not possible, so either have a small luggage or be ready to drag the luggage through medieval streets. There’s a Maison or Casa Cava that is close to drive by to load and unload the luggages, but still hard to drive to. Just a heads up. The host speaks little English. Breakfast has a great selection and very fresh.”
