”We have stayed here many times and generally it’s been very good, however on this occasion things were not on song, our first night the room was very noisy as a function was taking place and loud disco music until 1am, please avoid room 106. I did voice my complaint and reception staff moved us to a different room much better nights sleep second night. Reference to room 106, bed not comfortable and very low, bathroom was cold towel rail not heating up and loo seat falls down as won’t stay up....

”On entry of the Hex Hotel the car park is a short distance from the hotel entrance, there is no drop off point immediately outside the reception area, eg - if it was raining your items would be quite if not not entirely soaked. My advice is to park up first, sign in at the Hotel Reception and then collect a porters trolley for your luggage from the reception area. ”Frech clean room - immaculate bathroom. Ideal for what we needed - a base for the night. Very reasonable price - free parking. Rapid EV chargers next door. Free breakfast was a bonus. Lovely friendly helpful staff. Thank you”

”The room was clean and comfortable. Yea and coffee provided. Plenty of space to get ready. Bed was comfortable. We had been out drinking and was a late night the morning after I asked if we could extend our check out time the request was accepted at no extra cost. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.”

”So terrible we walked in and walked out again, drove around to find a different hotel! This hotel gave me the creeps, like something out of a horror movie with an American hostel feel. We arrived late (10 ish pm) and despite the hotel being quite quiet our room was given to us and was one of the last rooms down a long dark corridor at the back of the building. I was travelling alone with my young daughter and couldnt understand why we were put so far away from civilisation. Something felt...

”Friendly Staff, but room not fit for purpose, TV broken screen, shower pointless unless you want a cold shower, no pressure on warm/hot, restaurant had stopped serving when I arrived at 8:20pm, lights flickering, plug socket dubious and buzzing, room tired and dated, needs investment it rooms, I stay in around 40 different hotels annually and I can quite honestly say this was one of the worst rooms I’ve stayed in, and it takes a lot for me to complain, but it’s sub standard for sure. ”

”Centrally located. Nice room, but very cold in November. Service in restaurant was very slow as I waited my burger about 45 min. although there was only one customer in addition in the whole restaurant”

”Fantastic communication from the outset. Easily found and right next door to The Mayflower public house so after a long journey there’s no further travelling to do to get an evening meal. Plenty of parking, very easy check in and an exceptional selection of produce supplied for breakfast next morning. Good heating system, great bed, powerful shower, all in all with all of the other attentions to detail a great stay, very highly recommended.”

”Excellent staff, super friendly and helpful. Our room 106 needed some TLC but it was super clean and spacious with a very comfy mattress. Breakfast was very good, great assortment of cold and hot food and love that’s it’s a ‘help yourself’ options. Good quality food. Our satnav wouldn’t accept the postcode, so if yours is the same, it’s just off junction 36 of the A1. ”
