”From check in to check out the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. In fact, from when you pull into the car park you get the feeling it’s a special place. The building is a beautifully well maintained old building with some rather stunning modern extras. The room we had was spacious and beautifully presented, with a very comfy bed! ”Auton sai parkkiin kadunvarteen suoraan hotellin eteen. Ystävällinen henkilökunta otti vastaan. Söin illalliseksi hampurilaisen ulkona ja ateria oli maittava. Hotelli oli hiljainen ja huoneeni oli halvimmasta päästä, wc ja suihku oli käytävällä. Olin niiden ainoa käyttäjä. Aamiainen kysyttiin etukäteen ja pöytään oli katettu huoneen numerolla paikka. Hotellin wifi oli tosi nopea verrattuna yleisesti tarjolla oleviin ilmaisiin verkkoihin. Hotellia vastapäätä on suklaatehdas, kannattaa vierailla.”

”Delightful visit to The George and Dragon! Friendly and obliging staff, great pub, room and breakfast. Rooms renovated to a high standard and beautifully furnished. Loved the windows which could be opened to cool the room and bonus bath to relax in. Friendly bar staff when we had a drink in the pub before bed and lovely lady served us at breakfast. Really impressed and highly recommend a stay. 10/10”

”The place is iconic and is a realistic representation of a Dales Coaching Inn. Situation is bleak sat in the middle of miles of rough Yorkshire Moors.”

”I have stayed at the hotel on a number of occasions and do so because I have confidence that it will be clean and well maintained. This is in contrast to a number of occasions where I have experienced disappointment when staying at other hotels. The general amenity of the Gateway is extremely pleasant and the staff have managed a relaxing and comfortable public area.”

”Furnishings a bit tired”

”Nice location (quite remote and quiet) and friendly staff. Some gaps in the breakfast service, e.g. lacking glasses, plates etc. And the breakfast ended already at 9 which was very early for me. The condition of the hotel was quite worn-out and occasionally dirty, there were several spiderwebs and spiders in the hallway and the smell of our room was musty. ”

”The hotel was on the main street with shops and pubs all in walking distance. We were able to eat and drink at the Red Dragon. The only drawback was no on site parking so the car had to be left about 10 minutes walk away. This was the only issue the rest was great.”

”The room was clean and the breakfast was good The only issue was the stairs to the room as our room was on the 3 floors there were a lot of stairs to climb and we both OAP which was very tiring. On the hold it was a good experience but we would not stay again due to the stairs.”
