”We had a wonderful stay at The Burrell House. The room was large, beautifully renovated with a well thought out design. It is a very short walk or drive to Main Street where there were a multitude of restaurants and shops. We truly enjoyed our stay and plan to book again soon. ”

”The bedroom and entire first floor living area was clean and nicely appointed in period decor. The self-check in process was simple and convenient. Lastly, the staff went above and beyond to find and quickly mail back my forgotten prescription eyeglasses to my home address. Will definitely stay here again if visiting the pioneer valley. ”

”I arrived after dark and the hotel and the village were like a magical New England winter scene with sparkling lights everywhere. The proximity of the hotel to a typical New England church and numerous white painted wooden framed structures was a scene from our historical heritage. The hotel was reopened less than a year ago after extensive renovations. The outcome is a GEM. Decorations deserve an A+.”

It would have been nice to enjoy a hot breakfast on the cold and gloomy morning that we were there, though. We enjoyed meeting our friendly host, Joe, and had a nice conversation with him as he explained the history of the property and some future kitchen renovations he has in the works. ”If you love retro/vintage/history/ quiet and pet friendly this place is wonderful for a short stay and lowkey weekend. So many cool local businesses and delicious food. We went for a show at the stone church- walking distance from hotel! And everything we could have needed was easily accessible. They have a bar downstairs and a movie theatre in the hotel! Our hosts were very kind, and put generous effort into providing delicious breakfasts, giving suggestions about local attractions, and allowing us as much or as little cat time as we wanted. The room we were in was very cozy, with a comfortable bed, and thoughtful touches such as a water kettle for tea or coffee, a small fridge, and a TV setup we didn’t take advantage of.
