”Fairly nice place to stay. New rooms and good location. A modern tv. Unfortunately the room was super hot and the bed a bit too small for 2 adults. Woke up at 7am when someone blowdried her hair. ”

”The Duke of Edinburgh hotel was a gem. I don’t know the history of the building but it’s older; that doesn't mean bad. They have done a great job of renovating the rooms, or at least ours was. It was one of the best rooms we’ve had on our trip. We also had dinner and a breakfast while there and the food at the restaurant/pub was excellent. It’s a short walk from the train station and I would recommend it for your stay.”

”The property has real presence and looks stunning. Its decor is in keeping with the property and looks a bit worn but makes it feel loved. Breakfast was good but we had to wait both days for the food to be topped up as there’s only one waiter trying to do everything. The room was large and bed was comfy. The bathroom was not good no water pressure so water came out very slowly and not very hot. Shower unit was very noisy and no heating for such a big bathroom apart from a towel rail so it was...

”I rarely write reviews about holiday stays but had to do so for our three night stay at Grange Manor. The room was fabulous-luxurious,spotless and so comfortable and the extra finishing touches made it a home from home. Breakfast served every morning in the room was a delight. No noisy dining room nor rush to have table cleared away. All was at our pace which was what we wanted. A peaceful haven in a beautiful setting with the most friendly and helpful staff made this break first class. We...

”This was our first time staying at an independent hotel and we were welcomed by a polite staff member. However, the conditions of the room and amenities of it could’ve been better such as the shower, the floor and walls. The shower was mouldy, the floor was very squeaky for both our room and neighbours making the noise doubled and the walls had no purpose whatsoever as they were so thin , hearing neighbours frequently. Our breakfast on the last morning wasn’t served to us and we got told to go...
