I had a very unpleasant experience at Fenti Nubian Resort in Aswan. The property was not at all as advertised—photos online are highly misleading. The bathroom lacked ventilation, with dirty walls and floors, and I was disturbed to find bloodstains on the shower curtain. The mattress was stained with what appeared to be paint, and both the mattress and pillows were extremely uncomfortable.
The location was also problematic. Loud barking from stray dogs continued through the night, along with noise from a nearby mosque and loud music from the on-site restaurant. Sleep was nearly impossible.
Service was poor and unprofessional. There was no staff at the front desk from 11 PM to 9 AM, and most of the team spoke only Arabic, with the exception of the receptionist. Hygiene standards were very low—staff appeared unclean and had a noticeable odor. There was no phone in the room, so any request had to be made in person at the reception.
Despite all these issues, the resort refused to refund my remaining three nights, which I had booked through Expedia. Unfortunately, Expedia was also unhelpful in resolving the matter. — feeling disappointed.
