”The room was great as well as the view! Sunsets every night from my balcony.. the breakfast was very good with fresh to made omelets and crepes! The staff was always helpful and friendly. One of the best places I’ve stayed! Has a boat to the shore of the East Bank every few minutes. I enjoyed the dinner at the Egyptian restaurant and the view there was fantastic as well. I will be back when I’m in Aswan again!”

”We had a wonderful stay at Kato Dool Wellness Resort! The staff were very kind and accommodating — they even allowed us to check out late because our flight was delayed, which we truly appreciated. The view from the top of the mountain is absolutely amazing, especially at sunrise overlooking the Nile river. Since the resort is located uphill, we had to take a tuktuk to go up and down to the village. The ride can be a bit bumpy and dusty, which some people might not enjoy, but it didn’t bother...

”We did not need airport shuttle. We used private transfer from Luxor to Aswan. Humbling experience during the stay. People were so amazing, our laundry was done for the next day, super affordable. The staff was incredible, we celebrated our anniversary during the trip. The hotel gave us a cake which we shared with the staff. The sunset boat ride was expectacular. For sure the beat hotel we stayed in Egypt”

”The resort was quiet towards the later part of September. Perhaps most people visiting Abu Simbel chose to spend the night in Aswan. We were nicely surprised by how beautiful the ground looked and well maintained. Individual bungalows spread out around a couple of gorgeous swimming pools. Our unit had a river view but we wished we had chosen the pool view. We also wished that we stayed here for three or four nights to fully enjoy the resort amenities instead of just one night. ”

”Kato Waidi Nubian House is magical. The beautiful Nubian artwork in the Nubian Village and through this affordable, modest hotel inspired my creativity. I enjoyed the laid back friendly atmosphere. I felt at home. And the staff was extremely accommodating. One of the special benefits is the affordable airport transport. Kato Waidi Nubian House sits on the River Nile. It was a blessing to journey down the Nile on the boat into town to see the sunrise and feel the song of Ancient people...

”The owner is very friendly and speaks perfect English. He arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the airport and bring us to the hotel. The area in front of the hotel is beside the river. There was some construction happening on the the building that was a little inconvenient at the entrance, but the room was great! Cold air conditioning, comfortable beds ample sized room with beautiful view of the Nile and boats out the window.”

”The hotel personnel made my visit in Aswan just perfect even though the hotel is not in the best shape and there were some issues with the tidiness of the rooms. I was given a suite to make my stay the best so I was very happy with that. But without that suite I think my visit might have been different. Good breakfast, 24hour room service with delicious food, amazing views to the Nile. These are some of the things I really appreciated. The hotel manager Waled was super nice and helpful. I...
