Best hotel ever
Best stay ever. Monsieur Didot was a beautiful old building turned into a boutique hotel. Super classy and tasteful interior design, AMAZING greek breakfast served to your hotel room, super helpful staff, Good location. 10 minute walk to Syntagma. Stayed here for three nights wish I could have stayed a week!!

Umgebung der Unterkunft nicht schön! Mail zum Empfang im Hotel ( key code etc.) kommt 2 Tage später... Frühstück: man muss zuvor gewünschte Frühstückszeit angeben und auf dem Zettel zuvor ankreuzen was man möchte : so stelle ich mir meinen Urlaub nicht vor!!!! Wer es mag bitte, meine Vorstellung von Urlaub sieht anders aus

We are always open to anything that can improve our guests' stay at MONSIEUR DIDOT.Regarding the delayed email, we assure you that it is EXPEDIA'S issue and not the hotel's.We have had this problem before, with other guests as well. I'm afraid there is nothing we can do from our part.Regarding breakfast, there is also the option to order breakfast in the morning and not the previous evening. We are sorry our staff didn't inform you about that.We really wish you had told us your issues during your stay , because we would have solved everything and your stay would have been more pleasant.Kind regards

Lovely hideaway
Lovely, romantic room with thoughtful decor + secret bookcase bathroom. Breakfast was the best we had in Athens. The friendly staff was helpful regarding airport transfer and an evening meal reservation). We only wish we could have stayed longer!

The Tale Suite was absolutely beautiful. Well lit, convenient with plenty of amenities and quiet. The bed was so comfortable. Great hotel.

Highly recommended. Small, personal, intimate, great location outside of the main tourist circuit. The neighbourhood has very good shops and restaurants and only minutes by foot to Syntagma Square. The design and elegance of the hotel is wonderful. Staff couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful. Will definitely stay here again when back in Athens.

Dear Valeria,Thank you for your review.It was a pleasure having you at Monsieur Didot.We are very sorry that you are disappointed that there is no shared bathroom in our property, however, as we pointed out during your presence here, Monsieur Didot is a guesthouse, with no shared areas, such as a restaurant or a bar, so the guests can only use their private bathrooms in their rooms.However, we many times offer the staff's bathroom to our guests, after check out, if they wish to use it.Kind regards

A unique boutique experience with very thoughtful and tasteful design. Well located and quiet which was nice. Concierge Yalles provided excellent recommendations and we had a memorable dinner at Kuzina. Highly recommend this hotel.

Yannis, the manager at Monsieur Didot, was such an incredible host! He wrote out a 10 hour itinerary with food, site seeing, drinks and best terraces for the sunset. I followed it exactly and had the most amazing day in Athens - I will definitely be coming back to get recommendations from Yannis. The hotel itself is stunning, the rooms are large, beds are some of the most comfortable I have ever slept on, and the small details (like fresh lavender at bed side) made it my favorite hotel ever. Yannis also left us personal breakfast boxes in our mini fridge so we had something to eat at 5 AM when we left for our next stop.

This property is very unique and located in a great area of Athens. But despite the beautiful suites and surroundings, the best aspect of our stay was definitely the service. Tatiana and her team take wonderful care of their guests and go above and beyond to accommodate as many of their needs as possible. We got in-room breakfast delivery and breakfast boxes to take out on the days we were leaving early. They provided a safe and efficient way for us to store luggage when we were in between hotels and were so communicative about every aspect of our journey. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be returning if we are in Athens. Thank you to the whole team for a great experience!

The property is beautiful, the room very charming, the breakfast generous and delicious. The bed and bedding was wonderful. Check in was problematic. The front door is not obvious, with a sign that says “M. Didot Residences” - we wondered where the hotel was. There was no one there to receive us. I only discovered afterwards that they had sent an email to me at the end of the day - when I was travelling - with check in instructions. It was not the best way to start. The room - the bathroom door is glass which makes privacy an issue when using the washroom. The shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor. Having said that great care has been taken to make the place as comfortable as possible. The lighting is beautiful, the decor and design ate beautiful. The practical side of things needs some attention.

Avoid this hotel. Construction and loud drilling was going on making it impossible to sleep or relax after a 9 hr flight from NY. The noise was so bad that we checked out after one night. In addition, the owners charged us for our ENTIRE STAY despite being told multiple times that we were checking out. These people are dishonest. They knew construction was ongoing and did NOTHING to remedy the situation and charged us for three nights although we only stayed one night. This was not a prepaid booking where we were required to pay the full amount in advance. Expedia has been very unhelpful in processing a refund or helping to resolve the situation. Do not book this hotel or use Expedia. They will not provide any meaningful assistance when problems arise.

Dear guest, Construction and loud drilling at the building next to our hotel was something that we could not have predicted whatsoever. We understand that you got upset because of the noise, however, our manager took care of the matter at once, and the noise stopped after a while. Regarding your charging, we explained to you repeatedly that payment is subject to cancellation and payment policy, which you agreed with, when you proceeded with the booking (FULL COST OF STAY LESS THAN 7 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL). The inconvenience that occured was not the hotel's responsibility, and the hotel acted immediately to solve the problem. Regarding our staff being "dishonest" let me remind you the effort we all made to help you find your wallet, which you had left in a random store, even after you had left our hotel and we had no obligation to do so. We really hope that the wallet incident turned out well for you.
