Frustrating Stay – Phone Didn’t Work and Was Overcharged
I recently stayed at Hyatt Place Atlanta Peachtree and was very disappointed with the experience. First, the phone in our room didn’t work at all, which was a serious inconvenience—we couldn’t reach the front desk or request anything without leaving the room.
Worse, we were charged $418 even though the room had already been paid for in advance. When we brought this up to the staff, there was little urgency or clear explanation, and the issue wasn’t resolved during our stay.
It’s unacceptable to deal with basic issues like a non-functioning room phone and unexpected charges. I won’t be returning and would caution others to double-check their bills and confirm that everything in the room is working.
When we first got there we also had to switch the first room because it smelled very moldy and the rug was wet. They were able to switch that room right away at least.
