”A good location for reaching the Edinburgh airport in the morning. Check in was smooth, done at the restaurant next to the actual hotel. The restaurant was convenient and food tasty, if not exciting. (Make a reservation - early times filled up despite it being a Monday night.) I disliked receiving repeated emails ahead of time from the hotel asking for passport and credit card info on an unsecured platform, something the hotel receptionist told me they didn't need.”

”More like a B&B than a hotel which was very nice. Room was a good size and clean. Great water pressure in the shower unlike some of the other hotels that we stayed. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was included with the room but I was unaware of this until we were departing. I would stay there again.”

”This hotel has closed down and hasn’t notified Expedia or any other agent and is still taking bookings on their own website directly. Expedia gave me shocking customer service when I raised this with them. I spent 2 hours on the phone trying to get them to believe me. Total disaster. Avoid Expedia at all costs. ”

”We visited Scotland to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We loved our stay at the cottage! It’s just as charming as it appears in the online photos. It was a convenient “home base” for exploring several parts of Scotland. Katie and John were amazing hosts. They (and everyone we met in Scotland) were so warm and friendly. We’d love to get back to stay at the cottage one day!”

”The house is exactly as pictured but they don’t do it justice. From the moment we opened the door it was nothing short of a perfect 4 days. Jamie and Lisa are welcoming and ensure everything is thought of. The only part of the stay that was a bummer was having to leave. ”
