Spacious, Clean, Well Stocked Kitchen

We came here for my sister’s bachelorette weekend. We were only here one night but we had a great time and the house was very clean. The only thing I misunderstood on the listing was that one bedroom has two twin beds OR they can be converted to a king. I thought it had 3 beds but we still had enough space for everyone.

Great stay in Austin

Our family visited Austin in December for a holiday gathering. It was a great time. The location was perfect for us as it was close to where our son lives. We used the kitchen for meals that we mostly brought in or ordered from take-out, but it was well appointed with everything that we needed. The hot tub was a bonus. It was not functioning properly at first, but with prompt communication and instructions on how to fill, it was quickly fixed and enjoyed by all. (It seemed like a new hot tub as it was super clean without any sign of mold or mildew anywhere.) The bed that I slept on was a memory foam (and, my daughter agreed that hers was as well), so if you like that, you'll enjoy your nights sleep. The only negatives were that some blinds were broken and there was also some food in the refrigerator when we arrived. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this nice spacious home.

Great location not far from downtown and convenient to/from the airport. Quiet street but an easy trip to Congress , Sixth or Rainey. Very well decorated and a spacious home with 4 beds and 4 baths which was very convenient. Would definitely stay again!

Great Austin Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this house! The rooms were clean and spacious and comfortable. The neighborhood was lovely and very walkable. Our host was responsive. Would definitely stay here again with family or friends. The hot tub was a great added bonus!

Roomy but not quite everything we expected

We enjoyed our long weekend at this home, but found that there were a couple of discrepancies in the property description vs reality. The home is a find in that each bedroom has its own bathroom. The kitchen and dining areas are useful and spacious. The living room is as expected, but the furniture is not comfortable for sitting and chatting. We would have spent more time outside, but the outside furniture was quite dirty and in disrepair. We chose this place because we didn’t rent a car and it advertises “walk to fun” in the heading. The minimum walk to any services is a mile, which isn’t practical in Texas heat, or unless you are someone who likes a lot of exercise on top of any activity you may want to do while on vacation. We Uber’ed everywhere, and I wouldn’t classify this home as “near downtown”. The “king” bed in one of the rooms downstairs is really two singles pushed together with footboards (not as long as a regular king bed). It is listed in the description as a king/two singles so I suppose we should have caught that, but be aware that if you are tall, your feet will hit the footboards. Paula was an average host – good communication before our arrival and clear boundaries and rules. There wasn’t enough toilet paper in the house, though, which was a hassle. There was no soap or shampoo, either, but it was listed in the amenities. Two of the showers didn't drain correctly - there was at least an inch of water on the floor by the end of the shower.

Delightful getaway in an urban setting

This property is a hidden gem. I've lived here 36 years, but had never been in this neighborhood. The interior is spacious, with comfortable bedrooms. The owner was conscientious and responsive to some minor needs during the stay. A group of friends from across North America thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

A Welcoming Hip Home for an Austin Weekend

I had my Bachelor Weekend in Austin in scorching July weather (104 or above every day). There were 5 of us total and the house was everything I hoped it would be. Everyone pretty much had their own areas (and bathrooms!) so after a day or night on the town it was super comforting to come back to this spacious and really hip home. Everything worked well. We put the temperature down in the hot tub to make it a cool plunge pool which is really the move in temperatures like we had, We were out on the town most of the time, and found this location to be perfect. It's close to everything (including the airport) but sits in a beautiful quiet neighborhood, so when we needed to relax it was very peaceful. The space had excellent energy--everyone remarked on it. The kitchen is vast and well equipped, which we utilized for making late night Texas toast sandwiches from our Franklin's BBQ leftovers. But more than anything else, it was Paula as such a thoughtful and responsive host that made this trip excellent. She is quick to respond to any questions, gives lots of good suggestions, and has this whole system figured out really well. Check in and check out was a breeze, and there was just a sense the entire time if there was ever an issues (and we didn't have any) you had someone who was just a message away who was there to help. We had a very special weekend here and would come back in a heartbeat.

Excellent VRBO in Austin

Fabulous Communication and Generosity

Quirky and cool spot. My family enjoyed our stay in this fabulously located home. Paula was very responsive to any inquiries along with accommodating and generous during difficult travel times!

Perfect for Family Getaway & Great location!

We were so excited as we entered the door of the wonderfully decorated and well kept home. We had a family wedding and brought our sons and daughter-in-laws. It is great for multiple couples as each bedroom has its own bathroom. The beds and linens were very comfortable . The set up also worked well with an infant. The location is Awesome! We loved sitting out front enjoying the weather and neighborhood in the outdoor seating and walking to nearby trail and lake. Communication was excellent from the owner and she made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you so much for everything!!! We loved it.

Adorable, funky Austin spot

Had a great weekend with girlfriends at this super cool house! Paula was super communicative and helpful. We absolutely loved everything about our stay. I’d only note that this is definitely a primary residence for the owner - so there was stuff in the fridge etc - not a problem at all but would’ve been nice to know in advance. 100% would stay again!

Great Property Experience

Nestled in a beautiful and unique Austin neighborhood! Plenty of space for the 10 of us, and the hot tub was used every night. Great location, walked from Congress Ave one day.

This property is so beautiful and nice neighborhood!!! My crew had wonderful time. Also Paula was very nice and helpful. I would love to stay in here again in the future if I'm coming back to Austin :)

Great house and host

Paula's place was fantastic. The house is perfect for a small group - it's massive and the 4 full bathrooms really come in handy. We all enjoyed cooking in the well appointed kitchen and taking a relaxing dip in the hot tub at night. Would absolutely come again, and Paula was very communicative to make sure we had everything we needed.
