”This was a beautiful place to stay in the Old City, perfect for the City Palace and Lake Pichola. The staff were really helpful, the breakfast was good and the accommodation was everything that was promised. Taxis are not allowed into the Old City so there is a short walk once dropped off which I was aware of from other reviews.”

”Lake view room was 5 *, the view from the bath at sunset was beauitful, possibly the best room we have had on our travels in India, the guy who greeted us was very polite and helpful, however the staff we served us our evening mral in restaurant reduced this from 5 star to 4 star.”

”We enjoyed our stay. This hotel is in the hustle and bustle of the old town. The staff and manager couldn’t be more helpful. The Aircon was good in the bedroom. The roof top restaurant was nice and food was excellent. The building had charm and character. It had been beautifully restored and the furniture was in keeping with its heritage. You need to accept that it’s an old building and isn’t sound proof. If you are a light sleeper you will be woken up by horns and dogs barking. That’s part of...

”Checked out early - the rooms were so poor. dirty bedding, weird windows, broken toilet flush, no WiFi, poor water pressure. Double bed but just two single mattress pushed together. ”

”Many things in the room were broken: AC, hairdryer, water temperature. The pool also had issues so that we couldn’t use it. The staff the the reception was very nice but the rest of the staff didn’t understand English properly. The location was very central but the last few meters to the hotel had dark corners. The hotel staff can also bring you and pick you up for this part. ”

”View from the room was best i could ever get. Room was clean. Staff was friendly, gone beyond to fulfill the needs of the guests. Hotel is on a great great location. Just a minute away from lake pichola. You could see the lake, the ghat, the pichola market from your balcony. The size of the room was also pretty big. Overall 11/10. ”

”I was caught up in the events of 28th February 2026. I contacted the hotel by phone to explain but no one could come to the phone. I was promised I would receive a call back. Never did! But fully charged for the stay even though I couldn’t make it. Would really expect more from a hotel of this calibre.”

”Only half the rooms had access via elevator. I had no elevator to my room and that also I found out after the room was assigned. Had I known that I would not have stayed there. Was strange building with really narrow tight corridors with stairs. Room rent should not have been more than 1000 Rs!”

”I left very early in the morning but they made me a packed breakfast which was substantial. I forgot when I booked to ask for something on the ground level because using the stairs was an awesome task for somebody who is not very good with climbing.”
