October 2020 Stay

Very nice property, had a golf cart issue but that was quickly handled. Love the views, location, and pretty much everything about the house! I’ve used WWP’s on occasion for many years, always great customer service.

A Slice of Heaven

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Sunrises, sunsets, dolphins frolicking in the sea...what a perfect place to be! Three nights wasn't enough at A Soft Landing. The house is amazing and makes you feel comfortable and welcome. Renting through Wendy was a breeze and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Great location, needs some maintenance

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home is located on a perfect spot on the island. Overall, it is well decorated and furnished. The home just needs some maintenance. Things are broken, paint is peeling, mold, etc. Nothing that will stop you from having a good vacation, but it sort of takes away from the overall experience.

Great View, Not So Great House

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great beach location but the house is clearly the victim of a lot of rentals, not a lot of care. Kitchen needs to be blown up and re-done. Layout has a lot of wasted space and illogical flow. Dirty, that is all I can say.

Mother of the Bride Wedding Vacation Bliss!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I loved everything about the house! Open, light and bright and conveniently located! I spent ten days there and had 5 adult family members stay for the wedding weekend. Plenty of room for everyone. The bridal party came for hair and make up and got dressed there too with plenty of space for everyone! Loved the speakers in every room and on porch and deck too!

Light fixture broken, hole in the ceiling. lamp shade didn't fit over bulb in another room. sink dripped all day and night in bedroom. told beds were queen and they are double..too small.

They had a sense of urgency in all our business dealings - in advance of our trip and during. They genuinely cared about our vacation being a beautiful time on lovely Bald Head Island. The house was perfect for our stay.

Disappointment at Thunder Road

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location of property is excellent and the property manager was responsive and helpful. The problem with this property is lack of investment by owners. The two golf carts had problems. On one, the motor was shot and the other had electrical problems that caused the lights to work only occasionally--a real problem at night. The property manager quickly gave us one of their carts, but that should not have been necessary. There is no comfortable outdoor furniture and the condition of what's there makes it unusable. Beautiful view, no where to sit. Dishwasher appears shot and took two runs to get things clean. We would never rent this house again.

Fabulous House, Bad Timing

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is just great and had some of the nicest furniture, linens and baby gear. Unfortuneately we happened to hit it at a week when several of the appliances gave out- dishwasher, dryer, golf cart, grill. We were compensated a bit and it was no one's fault, so I do understand. Some things happened while we were there, but some were pre-existing conditions and it would have been more professional to tell us upon check-in versus leaving us to find the dryer not working after washing our clothes and then not knowing what to do with them. Still a great house and a great time!
