”It is a travesty to call the Wiltshire hotel a spa. We had had a long day travelling and were looking forward to a really nice spa experience. We were given a locker key and a sad towel, no robe. The ladies changing rooms were a disgrace. Broken tiles, grubby floor and a section had been roped off. The pool area was dirty with broken tiles, and mould on the floor tiles. The jacuzzi wasn’t working, neither was the steam room. The hot sauna was good but the pool temperature was on the low side. ...

”It was just as expected: the room was clean, the staff were friendly, there was an M&S petrol station right beside the hotel, the price was great, breakfast had plenty of options, from a cooked buffet to healthy continental, and the hotel had free parking.”

”As we didn’t book direct with the hotel our evening meal wasn’t included. That wasn’t a problem as you could dine in any of the restaurants for £30 per head. Traveller’s be aware though if you didn’t want to dine in there was no other food purchase options available after 4pm. They don’t offer room service either. The grounds are extensive and it’s not possible to walk to anywhere.
Take snacks with you as there is a fridge available in the room.”

”The room was dirty and the furniture was very worn and tatty. I checked in at 9 pm and the hotel was clearly pretty empty. Breakfast was very small and expensive. My son went golfing in the morning, but despite this very rude front desk staff member kicked me out of my room at 11am wanting to 50 GBP to stay another couple of hours. There were silverfish bugs in the bathroom. If you are used to higher standards, avoid this hotel.”

”The grounds are stunning but the hotel itself is looking a bit tatty.
We were given an accessible room, which didn’t seem that accessible to me! The plug sockets by the bed are not normal uk plugs. So you can’t plug a charger in (for me, I couldn’t plug my breathing machine in)
The tv was on the wall, but had plastic covers over the wires which just looks messy.
The furniture was a bit dated but fine.
The bathroom, although it’s supposed to be accessible I think it was hard work. The sliding...
