New Years Eve weekend away
Three families stayed here over the New Year’s Eve weekend and we all had a lovely stay. The cottage was perfect for our needs, in a lovely location and warm and cosy. It was well equipped and very comfortable. Would consider returning and definitely highly recommend.

Beautiful Building
This was a beautiful property and a very worthy cause. But some essentials information was incorrect. There are no hair dryers. You cant play pool as the cue has no tip. There is a limited selection of kitchen knives. No carving knife so dont do a roast. No veg knife. We had to cut things with the cheese knives and bread knife.There is no tablespoons to serve with. No gravy boats for sauses. No meat platter to serve a roast on. No platters to serve a buffet on. A table cloth would be nice. We were told that the house would be fully trimmed up for christmas but it was a bit of a let down as they were a bit sparse and the tree had no lights. The disabled suite on the ground floor has a door knob which is difficult to turn, my disabled daughter got stuck in there as she couldnt turn the knob. The property itself is beautiful even with the above problems. But I think for over 2½K for 3 night we expected a bit of a higher standard.

Wonderful stay
We had a lovely time and the house was perfect for our needs. The air hockey/pool/football table was a welcome surprise and kept the kids happy for hours and the enclosed garden was a great space for them to run around. We will definitely be visiting again.

Gorgeous property - great for groups
We spent a weekend at lower farm with a group of friends. The bedrooms were well laid out and there was plenty of room for everyone. The children loved the air hockey table and the adults loved being able to socialise around the huge dining room table. It was such a lovely house to stay in, I would recommend it to everyone. The only sad thing is that we only got to stay there two nights. It was so lovely I didn’t want to leave

Most memorable stay!
This was an outstanding experience. The property is gorgeous. It has five bedrooms very very good sized with ensuite bathrooms. The setting is rural and gives a lot of space to roam around both in the field and around the cottage. The host is excellent and the entire arrangement is outstanding. Highly recommend

Short stay at Windmill Farm
We really enjoyed our stay here. The garden was delightful. There was ots of attention to detail such as outdoor games for little and bug children, great selection of tea and coffee, shower gels. Bbq area was lovely and also under cover. Lots of outside seating.Very pretty location. Owners were very helpful if anything was needed. A comfortable and relaxing place to say and good value for money.

Great place for friends reunion
Property was great with good space for 14 adults. Garden just perfect for some outdoor games & chill time. Good to have social space in living room & sofas in the dining room too. The sofa bed was really good quality - not always the case, so well appreciated. Clear instructions & helpful check in. Only small items for suggested improvement : a little extra cutlery/crockery and perhaps time for a new oven ? It really did take an hour to heat up (which we were advised about) & cooking took a lot longer! Overall this was a super super place, hence the high rating! Thank you for making some old friends very happy !!

Warm and comfortable old farmhouse. Beds were really good with lovely patchwork quilts. The children loved the combined table football/air hockey/ pool table. Great garden for ball games. Julie went out of his way to meet our requirements. We had a wonderful family get together and would love to return.

A fabulous find!
A beautiful cottage with everything you could possibly want. The Christmas tree and decorations were such a lovely festive treat, thank you! Beautiful garden and grounds to explore, so much space to relax in the house with kids and adults both having places to sit and chat/play. Beds all comfortable, and plenty of different set-up options to suit all family groups. A gentle stroll along the road to both the Clanfield Tavern and the Double Red Duke - lunch was delicious, definitely recommended! We have already booked again for our next Christmas get together!

Fabulous for a large family get together
The property was extremely.comfortable and clean. The host was very hospitable and spent time during check in to show us where everything was. A few technical hiccups in the kitchen which in no way detracted from.a wonderful.stay. The Christmas tree and Dec's were a lovely touch.

Clanfield - perfect for family celebrations
There were 14 of us, age ranges from 8 to 84 and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Clanfield. There were nice walks around, the house was roomy and comfortable, the kids enjoyed playing in the garden and the table football game.

Excellent spacious house in great location
We had a fantastic weekend at this gorgeous house. It was spacious and well equipped for 11 adults. The garden is large and sunny and not overlooked by any neighbours. Lots of parking available on the driveway. The bedrooms were great - well set up, mostly with twin beds (which suited us well), lots of towels and toiletries. The hosts were very flexible and accommodating, allowing us to check in early and check out late, which really maximised our weekend. We also booked canoeing through the Adventure Plus centre, which was excellent fun and enjoyed by all. The location is great - a couple of lovely pubs in Clanfield and just down the road from Radcot which is an excellent place to enjoy the river in the summer. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend to others ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Family and friends gathering
A lovely comfortable house which is spacious and suited the wide range of ages who stayed. Lovely garden - perfect for cricket and football. Countryside is just beautiful and we watched the barn owl flying around most evenings. Delightful easy walking and good pubs all local. Visited National Trust house and Kelmscott Local bakery well worth a visit. Thank you

Amazing house!
We hired this property for my mums surprise 60th! Everything was perfect, from the first messages with the owner to him meeting us at the house the service was amazing! All rooms were supplied with fresh bedding towels and shower gels, plenty of tea coffee sugar toilet rolls. This house was perfectly suited for all ages we had staying, the grounds were great for children playing and adults relaxing! We planned our weekend around staying in the house but I would defiantly come back to this property and explore more, there’s a couple of pubs just a 10minute walk which we didn’t manage to fit in but looked beautiful when we drove past! Thanks Jurie for all messages back and forth and making us all feel super welcome.

After a second year of cancelling our family Christmas we finally got together in this fabulous farm house. It was perfect for all 10 of us to sleep and enjoy family meals round the large dining table. Evens if cards and charades in front of the fire. Lots of beautiful walks right in the door step.

60th birthday celebration in style
The farmhouse was a delight. The spring garden was like a bride in all her splendor. We were exceedingly lucky weather but had we not been, it would have been fine to sit around the log fire in the company of friends. We enjoyed meals together around the long refectory table and even a barbeque. No need to drive anywhere as you can take a walk straight from the front door into the lovely rural setting. An excellent stay.

Friendly and relaxing
We stayed for a few days with family visiting from overseas. This was perfect for us; spacious, comfortable and relaxing. The location worked well for us as a base for visiting the local area - we'd recommend the local bakery (Blakes) and pub (The Tavern). Our host was helpful and friendly, before, during, and after the visit. We'd definitely be happy to come back.

Another Great stay!!
Beautiful Victorian house, very large space for big family get together… we all had a fabulous time. High quality furnishings and 2 large private en suite rooms - with extra communal kitchen/dining/sofa space. Great baths/showers and uninterrupted hot water.. You will need a car to get out but lovely rural spot.

A beautiful property that was comfortable and warm. Lovely big table for family to sit around.
A great space for a big family to spend the weekend together at, ample parking, lovely dining room and front room. Only downside was cooker not working properly in what was quite a small kitchen and one of the ensuite's had a broken shower and toilet.

Lovely Christmas Break
Our party was an intergenerational group of 14 adults staying together for a week over Christmas. We had a lovely time, the location is great and the house easily accommodating the size of the group. The house had some gorgeous christmas decorations which created a festive atmosphere. The photos are really accurate - its a large farmhouse, a little basic in some ways, but with a cosy sitting room with open fire and a large dining room with plenty of space to sit together and eat. It was really clean and there were nice touches like toiletries and plenty of tea/coffee and cleaning supplies. I think it was really good value. Jurie was really helpful answering my many queries before we arrived. The location is great for walking with many lovely towns/villages nearby to visit. Thank you!

Perfect but
No problem unless you arrived in the dark. The property entrance needs to be signed and lit. Absence of street lighting means that a lit sign is needed. Also security light to help access and parking. Other than that perfect in every way!

Spotlessly clean family friendly home.
Professional friendly welcome to a holiday home with everything that you require provided for a home from home. A great house centrally based for our extended family to get together with our grandchildren. A lovely open fire in the large comfortable lounge with plenty of fuel provided gave us a cosy atmosphere to sit around and chat in the evening when the little ones had gone to bed. We really enjoyed every minute that we spent here.Thank you to the team.

September stay at Lower Farm
We stayed for 2 nights as a family group of 10 in September 2021. Excellent communications and local advice from owner before we travelled. Property was very clean and well equipped. Lovely garden and dog friendly. We had a great stay. The only downside was the water pressure meant the showers were not much more than a trickle, if this could be fixed it would be perfect.

I was hoping it would not affect your stay, and my sincerest apologies for not scoring a perfect 100%. Thames Water have 'promised' us they are looking into remedial work within our locale as the issue lies with them. I trust it will be taken care of soon. Stay safe :)

Well equipped and cosy property. Some lovely features including period detail. Lots of space, plenty of towels, bed linen etc. Not luxurious but definitely comfortable. It’s on a working farm with lovely walks and villages around. Very nice staff too.
