This house served our basic needs- a place to sleep, clean up and eat a few meals. Pros- Great location to Bar Harbor and Acadia Park. Kitchen well stocked with basic dinnerware. A/c was individual units, kept the place cool. Soap, shampoo and conditioner provided. Overall clean. Con’s- The walls were painted all different colors- red, blue, yellow. Felt like we were in a clown house. Furniture was very sparse- there was 1 very uncomfortable couch in the family room and a chair (more was needed). Kitchen cupboards very outdated and noisy; thought the were going to fall off the hinges. Minimal lights in the bedrooms. There were so many light switches that we couldn’t figure out where they went to. The towels felt like sandpaper, along with the extremely cheap toilet paper. Several sliding doors that were gated off, didn’t lead anywhere. No mirror in the downstairs bathroom. A door that led to the attic fell off the wall, fully exposing the opening to anything that may be living in there. No doors on the closets. No laundry basket for clothes. Washer and dryer made scary noises. Terrible water pressure, esp for the showers. Overall, it worked for what we needed. Just know that it only provides the bare minimum, don’t expect any amenities.
