”this place was the perfect spot to take in the shops, restaurants, bars, and beauty of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The room was well appoinmted with a cute reading nook, clean sheets, and even a split AC unit should we have needed it. The staff were all so kind and welcoming.....not to mention great bakers! Breakfast was wonderful every day, with a baked muffin, and a choice of a sweet or savory meal. Coffee and tea were available all day. We would not hesitate to stay here again.”

”Really enjoyed our stay at Hanscoms in Bar Harbor. Our cottage was very clean and comfortable. The location is about 10 minutes outside of the busy areas of Bar Harbor and about 5 minutes away from Acadia NP... close, but not too close... nice and quiet. In hindsight we probably would have selected a unit with more of a kitchen, ours just had a small fridge and microwave. Nice touch... there is a community area with a fire pit and everything is provided to get a nice fire going.”

”I have to give them a one star rating just because I think I have to put a star. The host or the front desk, people were awesome. The room was horrible! Because the traffic noise from the road to Acadia made sleeping unbearable. The electrical switches outlet and smoke detector did not work and there was not daily housekeeping service. I am at the point of recouping my money because of the horrible noise that kept me up all morning and when I say morning, three and four in the morning.”

”We could stay for 2 hours only for what was a 3-night booking!
Rooms were the dirtiest that I have seen for any hotel, we could find human hair all over the floor/bed and black patches on floor. What made the situation even worse is we had a 2 year old with us. No safe and clean space for him. Fireplace felt more of a liability with the limited space and continuous smell.
There was hardly any space to keep luggage, no closet whatsoever.
We could spent 2 hours at this place (1 hour of which was...
