Charming Edwardian Stone Cottage Countryside Views - Pass the Keys

Welcome to our beautiful Edwardian 2-bedroom stone-built property, situated in Barnard Castle, with lovely countryside views.

Guests can enjoy a cosy ambiance with a wood-burning stove in the lounge, a spacious, well-equipped kitchen diner, and two beautiful bedrooms. An ideal base for your next getaway!

Our cottage in Barnard Castle offers the perfect blend of countryside tranquillity and modern comfort.

Upon entering the cottage, guests can relax in the large lounge, with ample seating for all guests and a wood-burning stove to relax by on those winter evenings. There is a TV and several books for entertainment also.

The kitchen diner is well-equipped with both large and small appliances, including; dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven and hob. Along with smaller appliances such as kettle, toaster and microwave. There is a large dining table for you to socialise and enjoy a homecooked meal around. It is a space I particularly enjoy after a day of being out and about - great for unwinding together!

Off from the kitchen, there is a laundry/utility space with a washing machine and dryer. Ideal if you have a spot of washing that needs doing.

Upstairs you can enjoy a restful night sleep in the master bedroom. This features a double bedroom and for storage, a large chest of drawers and a wardrobe. The master bedroom is also where you find the best view!

The second bedroom has two single beds making it perfect for children or friends. Storage space is not in short supply with a wardrobe and shelving space. This room also comes with a desk and does make for a peaceful place to do some work/studying.

There is a family bathroom, modern in style and recently renovated. Relax in the rolltop bath, or if you rather, there is a standalone shower.

Step outside to the charming courtyard with a seating area, ideal for relaxing with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine while taking in the tranquil surroundings.

Guests will have access to the whole property.

The courtyard has shared access with the neighbours, though they will not use it, just merely pass through if necessary.

IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi (Previously called Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process.

The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.

Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
