Huvilat – Barrow upon Humber

”Had such high hopes for this place, based on the images and location, but was so disappointed when we arrived. Genuinely considered leaving and paying to go elsewhere. Host was really great with communication and checking in, but wished we knew before booking that you actually stay at the scratty end of their property, with all the chicken coops and sheep. Property was much more outdated than on the pics and cupboards were dirty. On the plus side, the beds were comfy. I've never been more...

”We checked in late as we were only staying one night to help my daughter move out of her dorm. We didn’t bring any of our soap and shampoo since we thought they would have it. The room had no soap or shampoo in the room. It was too late to get it from the front desk so we lived without. Other than that the room was fine. There was an odd sliding door next to one of our beds. Someone opened it from the hallway in the morning. That should be more secure.”

”This is a budget hotel with no reception staff, limited bar opening times and located on a busy main road with much traffic noise.”

”The room was a fabulous size for the two of us. It had a kettle, a decent size shower room and was all very light and airy with a tv. The staff were really helpful and looked after our luggage for us. The bar was lively after the concert we attended and I believe there were parking options but we came on the train. It was such a handy location for anywhere around the centre of Hull. We would definitely book again as a fabulous base.”

”Erittäin siisti hotelli, joka tarjosi kaiken mitä liikematkustaja tarvitsee. Jossakin määrin persoonaton, mutta se ei haittaa millään lailla. Hyvä aamiainen.”

”Upea paikka. Aamiainen erinomainen ja sijainti sopivan kävelymatkan päässä kaikesta. Teatteri vieressä, kaupat vähän kauempana. Rauhallista.”

”This is a self catering apartment hotel situated in the Old Town right next to Hull Minster and within a 15 minute walking distance of virtually everything including the station. It’s spotless and has a very modern feel with all the amenities needed, ironing board, hairdryer, toiletries etc. Kitchen area has everything including a dishwasher, toaster, microwave, cooker, hob and fridge which has some milk and oat milk sachets. Beds are large and very comfy, the wet room was enormous. There are a...

”Possibly the worst, dirtiest, run down hotel I've stayed in the last 20 years of travelling for work. Dirty doors & walls & peeling ceilings and woodwork in corridors.Peeling ceilings, stained walls (fluid marks etc.), and stained carpets in my room. Unmade bedding on the first night. If i could have found a room in a different hotel I would have walked out. I have a few pictures to illustrate, but stopped taking them as it became so depressing. This hotel is worse than a low level hostel, and...
