Arrived and checked in quickly. Efficient young chap did all the preliminaries and we headed to our room. Room was in the main building at the front. Large room with plenty of wall lights and lamps as well as spot lights. Lovely sized room and bathroom. Plenty of boiling hot water as soon as the tap was turned. Beds were clean and very comfy. Room had everything we needed including a kettle which we didn’t expect. A selection of mismatched furniture but adequate for the room.
We had food on the 2 nights we stayed which was very tasty and on the second night absolutely plentiful. The first night was curry night and we ordered 2 curry’s. Waited for at least half an hour to it and when it arrived although very nice, the portion size was small. We didn’t complain as we were pleased with the flavour and everyone we saw had the same sized portion. It was just a bit surprising as the following night the portion was really good. That was our only gripe with our stay. Overall we enjoyed our stay although we had things to do in the area so didn’t stay in the pub very much while in the area.
