”Staff were lovely and very accommodating when we arrived late from our hike and ensured we were settled in properly.
Couldn’t ask for anything better and offered us drinks when the bar was closed aswell.

”This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Amthweight Hall, the accommodation was excellent, as was the staff, they couldn't do enough for you.
The breakfast was 10 out of 10, and again, very helpful, as my wife wanted her coffee a paticular temperature, and strength, they bent over backwards to make her perfect cup of coffee !!
The grounds and the building, are kept immaculate.
The Spa facilities, again 10 out of 10, gym, sauna, steam room, plunge pool, swimming pool and outside hot pool, plenty...

”Room is very basic. Breakfast is basic. Nice chef though, came specially to apologise for the limited options. In general the B&B is overrated extremely overpriced. Not happy at all that I booked it”

”Stayed at Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa for 3 nights and honestly… the thermal journey is the only reason I’d come back.
Rooms are pretty meh—dated and not the cleanest. We were in room 166 and there were visible spill stains on the wall (not great), but it did have incredible lake views. It was also super convenient being so close to the elevator to take you to the spa.
Read the fine print: access to the main pool (with infrared sauna + eucalyptus steam) is limited to 2.5 hours. Family time is...

”overall our weekend break in the Salutation Hotel, Ambleside was very enjoyable, couldnt fault the very pleasant staff/ service. The meals especially the Breakfast was outstanding. Our room was very comfortable and had everything required for an enjoyable stay. One struggle initially was the parking but eventually we got sorted and it was a very busy Bank holiday weekend.”

”Beautiful accommodation in a stunning setting. Breakfast was 5 star! Lots of choice and presented perfectly. Our double room was very clean with en suite and quality toiletries. Tea/coffee and biscuit were replenished daily. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, with lots of local advice - we couldn’t have chosen a better guest house for our Lake District break. Having on site, free, car parking was a bonus too, so we made use of the bus services in the area. Highly recommend - we’ll be...
