Majatalot – Battle

”We had a room at the rear of the hotel which was nice and quiet. A fan was available in the room which helped during the heatwave. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room. No wardrobe but hooks on the wall and hangers for clothes which was ok as we only stayed 2 nights. Breakfast was lovely. Staff were friendly on arrival and at breakfast. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable.”

”The room was nice and big. The staff were friendly. The location was great, near lots of pubs and restaurants. The pub is good too, with friendly people. Not necessarily suited for young children on friday night as the area is loud until 0030, although it did quieten down once bars were shut. The shower water pressure in the evening seemed a lot lower than the morning.”

”Nice one! Great room with a king size bed, spotless clean, spacious and cosy. The only minus was the extremely strong smell of washing detergent in the bed linen - this hotel is not suitable for allergic people!! Our clothes smelled like the washing detergent for days later... Otherwise nothing to complain about, staff was great, friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and the overall atmosphere in the hotel was good. We could stay again in this hotel.”

”Shower had a draining issue and in room fan was pretty noisy (hence we couldn't use it). Nonetheless, overall it was a decent stay.”

”The staff were very friendly and helpful and I would stay at The Crown again without hesitation, however as I am disabled there are not enough parking spaces available for disabled guests staying at the hotel. The bays at the front of the hotel (3) were, at most times occupied by non blue badge holders.”

”Really liked staying in a 356 year old hotel/pub. It was probably my favorite place on our 1 month journey in the UK. It was close to town and had very friendly staff. It was unique and I really enjoyed my stay. Would definitely come back.”

”Lovely rooms with streaming in the tv Nespresso coffee always a plus. Usual amenities, good food offer & reasonably priced. Highly recommend, lovely area with a local village store & post office which is great”
