Majatalot – Beadnell

”We were a family of 3 plus a cockapoo staying in The Tweed. The room was perfect for us. Loved the decor and attention to detail. It was nice to sit in the sun in the morning in the little garden with a coffee and listen to the birds. We had dinner and breakfast in the pub. The food was ok but the service could have been better. We booked in advance and were seated straight away but we found nobody came over to ask if we wanted drinks and we ended up having to stand in the queue at the bar....

”We stayed for 3 nights in the Hetton bedroom. Very clean, lovely bathroom and comfy bed. Just the pillows that I didn’t get on with. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice both hot and cold. On two of our three evenings we ate in the inn and the food was great, cannot fault any of it. Lovely, friendly staff. Great position for travelling to all the sights in Northumberland. We will definitely stay again.”

”Room smelt of dogs, upon enquiring i was informed previous occupant had dog. External of property very run down and in need of refurbishment ie windows rotten, walls cracked, gutters blocked, in need of repaint etc. Internal was not maintained windows of course as external (rotten) several would not open others would not close, imitation roof beams in breakfast room where just pine screwed to ceiling obviously because the screw holes hadnt been filled also gap between ceiling and beams, what a...

”Really nice 3 star close to Lindisfarne. Perfect for judging the crossing times to the island and close enough by car to Berwick upon Tweed for a great choice of restaurants. Banburgh Castle is also close-by.”

Ausstattung ist sehr gut, sogar ein Kühlschrank befindet sich auf dem Zimmer. Sowohl das Abendessen als auch das Frühstück waren sehr gut! Insgesamt die beste Unterkunft auf unserer Rundreise!”

”I stayed in the dog friendly room which was ok but not great. The carpets were stained and when we first walked in the room we could smell dog it wasn't a fresh smell. There was a half used toilet roll in our bathroom and no fan so it steamed up quite quickly. The room was at the bottom of the beer garden so was very noisy which wasn't that much of a problem.
