This three-storey townhouse for six guests is close to the centre of the historic town of Beaune. With three double bedrooms and two bathrooms, we think it is a great choice for three couples visiting the region to discover its wonderful wines, or even for a family looking to explore this wonderful area.

The open-plan ground floor means there is plenty of space for guests, while the first floor is given over to a very elegant master suite. The two bedrooms on the top floor share a bathroom, but the toilet is separate. The whole house is air-conditioned, which summer guests will be very grateful for!

SECURITY DEPOSIT
We require a security deposit of €1,000 via a pre-authentication of your credit or debit card, which does not affect your card balance. The pre-authentication will be released as soon as we’ve checked the property and confirmed there is no damage. This is normally done right after your stay, but it could take up to 14 days after your departure.

Weinreise mit Hund

Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und wir fühlten uns dort sehr wohl. Alles (bis auf den Backofen) war sehr sauber und und die Lage des Hauses ist perfekt. Mit dem Hund in 3 Minuten im Park zum Gassigehen und in 10 Minuten in der Innenstadt von Beaune zum einkaufen und essen gehen. Es wäre gut, wenn man auch in den Toiletten Handtücher zur Verwendung hätte. Ansonsten ist das Haus sehr zu empfehlen. Gerne wieder!

We were so happy with our stay. The spot was perfect. Easy walking distance to the town center. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this listing to anyone interested in visiting the Burgundy area.

Wonderful

Our family of five had a superb stay at Maison Guigone! It was in the perfect little town and close to everything we needed. We especially loved the ability to walk safely into town for eating, shopping, etc. The house was decorated lovely and it is clear that a lot of thought went into every special touch. We were a bit squeezed tight on the top floor with two adults and one teen, I think it’s the perfect house for a couple of two. A/C was a plus and the hosts provide a wealth of information to make your stay wonderful.

Petite maison sans prétention extérieure, sur 3 niveaux très bien située pour découvrir Beaune à pieds et proche de la voie des vignes pour le vélo, très joliment décorée et aménagée à l’intérieur. Mention spéciale pour le premier étage lumineux et toute la literie très confortable. En revanche lumière limitée au rdc et au 2 e étage, pas de possibilité vraiment d’ouvrir et aérer. Odeurs déplaisantes dans les sanitaires sur les 2 premiers jours (après 2 nuits avons été dépannés de produits pour les canalisations). Prestation peut encore s’améliorer avec une cafetière en bon état de marche (surtout quand on est 5) et des contenants remplis pour le produit de douche(vides dans les 2 salles de bains) ou désodorisant Wc. Avons été enchantés de découvrir cette belle région.

Perfect stay in a wonderful city

The house was perfectly suited for our family of 5 with a cosy well equipped kitchen and social area. Bedrooms as well as the bathrooms were of high standards with nice interior. The only thing we could have wanted more was designated parking slots (helpful when you have a big car). But overall, a very nice stay in this house 😊.

A special Burgundian retreat

This is our third time to Beaune and we’ve stayed on this street each time in a beautifully renovated stone home. The neighborhood is the perfect spot because it’s right in between the town and the gorgeous Parc de la Bousaize. With kids, it’s a short stroller ride in either direction. Parc Bousaize had a carousel, playground, water features, row boats and is right against a premier cru vineyard! This property is very special and was the perfect home for our family for a week. It is three stories and while you have to walk upstairs for bed and bathrooms, the stairs are well designed and not too steep. My three year old navigated them solo and held on to the railing or wall. Check in was so easy with a lock box. The master suite is wonderful- bigger than expected- and the stand-alone tub is fantastic. The kids adored bathtime and I loved soaking after a long day of sightseeing. Given the current heat wave, the highlight was the air conditioning in each bedroom and in the common room (living room/kitchen). I cannot stress how grateful we were for this, and how well we all slept as a result. These units are built in high into the wall, not portable window units like some rentals have when they list AC as an amenity. Another nice feature is that the upstairs bedrooms have tiny windows with a black out shade so my kids slept really well. The kitchen table is huge and the place was well stocked for cooking in. The beds were firm and SO comfortable. The linen and towels felt high end. You can tell that the owner actually stays here because it’s furnished so nicely and features interesting art, decor, and especially lighting. A large TV provides Netflix access which was great for the kids. The only thing possibly missing would be an outdoor sitting area/patio, but it was so hot that I’m not sure we would have used it anyway. Plus the park and vines are literally down the street. We took a wine and walked out to the vines on our last night as the sun set and it was spectacular. I would be lucky to return to this house! Final piece of advice- I noticed that there was an offer to have the house manager arrange a meal for our arrival. Someone signed the guest book saying it was great. I wish I had arranged that, because we drove straight from CDG to Beaune on a Sunday. It would have been so nice to enjoy a meal instead of rest stop snacks. We met the manager when we asked for assistance with the TV and she seemed so nice, so go for it!

If you are cloister phobia, do not book. Bedrooms are so small, I slept in family room?! Location was ok, but at least half mile to town. Because it was so hot, it seemed much longer.

Friendly management

Communication with manager was excellent- she arranged wine tasting, bikes and meals. Greatly appreciated her support. Location was excellent- walking distance to city center. Easy access to bike trails and wineries. Common area was quite small- best for couple or maximum 4 adults. Beds were comfortable-pillows and living room area furniture could use face lift. All in all a lovely visit.

La maison est située dans une rue calme à 10 minutes à pied du centre ville. Propreté irréprochable, maison décorée avec goût. La literie est de qualité. Les gérants contacté par téléphone sont très professionnels et à l'écoute. Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour et y retournerons sans hésiter.
