Hôtel très bien situé à quelques minutes de voiture du mont Saint-Michel (mais aussi à 1h de marche sur les berges) La réception, le directeur ainsi que le personnel ont tous été très gentils, accueillants et bienveillants avec nous. Le charme de l’hôtel et de la chambre nous a très agréablement surpris. Nuit magique dans un hôtel féerique. Je recommande à tous les lecteurs/trices de passer au moins 1 nuit dans cet hôtel les yeux fermés.

You need a code to open the door. Nobody is in the front desk. You have the same person doing the breakfast and the check out , etc. For the breakfast you have to wait for being service . You don't have a counter with food to chose. It is not a 5 start

Very well-appointed, large and comfortable room. The dinner was also delicious! So glad we stayed here rather than in the less charming area by the Mont St Michel parking lot.

Somewhat Disappointed
Somewhat disappointed. Location to Mont Saint Michel was great as was the cleanliness. I knew that the bedroom was upstairs but did not realize or think that you would have to go downstairs to use the bathroom. When we arrived and at other interactions Werner Behra he was friendly and informative. At check in I mentioned it was my birthday. Never have I had a hotel not do something to acknowledge such. Especially at a “five star” property that we were staying at for two nights. The breakfast person not so friendly. On our second morning they were kind enough to allow us to have breakfast at 7:15 (normally starts at 8) to accommodate our needs to get to the airport. Both mornings we were the only ones in the restaurant for breakfast yet it seemed disorganized. On the second day my husband’s omelette was so burned he could not eat it. Be cautious of any drink order. My husband order a Jack Daniels and Diet Coke. When we checked out I saw the charge of 6€ for soda and 15€ for the shot of whiskey. That 21€ is about $23. When I questioned it at check out and made a statement regarding the lack of acknowledgement for my birthday they took the soda off the bill. It did not leave a good impression.

We also have it a the restaurant. Our price is corresponding to other 5 stars in the World for Coke, Whiskey and the other drinks. For example, at Deauville, the Coke is 8 euros.We are sorry about what you check but we try to answer all your request during your stay: the best way to get Paris Airport without any inconvenience due to Paris strike, the help with the breakfast in order you can take your airplane, the help in the organization in your trip the full day you was close to Mont Saint-Michel with all the interest point to visit and to place it on your map, recommandation in differents restaurants...I'm staying at your disposal may you want to speak more with us about your stay.Sincerely yours,Werner BehraGeneral Manager

A bit disappointing...
We were not as impressed with the hotel as we were hoping to be given the 5-star rating and the relative expense. I suppose the proximity to Mont Saint Michel accounts for that. But compared to several of the other places we stayed on our month-long trip to France, L'Ermitage was disappointing. Our room was quite comfortable, clean, and roomy, no issues there at all. The public areas, however, were just a little shabby - dying flowers on the reception desk, throw blankets covering the dining room chairs, the hotel manager serving as porter, reception clerk, and waiter. I don't recommend the restaurant - lobster is their specialty and mine was served almost raw. Overall, it was not a good value.

Dear Madam,Thank you for your feedback and for your stay.We was waiting for the new seats order in 2021 and due to Covid was only deliver in December 2022.We are the smaller 5 stars hotel in Europe and we have 13 persons working at the Hotel. Of course, we are all polyvalent in order to answer to the guest. That's why I'm working different position. Moreover, I like to make this different position because we can speak with our guest and I stay close to my guest.I'm sorry your lobster was not enough cooked and I don't understand why you didn't say to us. Wonderful Stay!
Verner and team offer tremendous hospitality at this beautiful property close to Mont St. Michel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Dining at the restaurant onsite is a real treat. They specialize is fresh seafood dishes but also serve items sourced from local farms. We will look forward to returning to this beautiful place one day.

Hotel estilo familiar onde poucas pessoas fazem diversos serviços. Quarto todo renovado, ótimo tamanho (tinhamos reservado um de 40 m2 e ganhamos um upgrade para um quarto de 50m2) roupa de cama e banho de qualidade. Bem perto do acesso ao estacionamento do Mont Saint Michel. Destaque para o jantar maravilhoso que tivemos no hotel, chef de primeira. Lembrar de pedir um quarto sem mezanino pois o banheiro e armários ficam no primeiro andar, o que é de certa forma incômodo pois a gente desperta se precisa utilizar o banheiro no meio da noite.

Personnel très compétent, propreté irréprochable, confort des chambres et de la literie exceptionnel, à recommander les yeux fermés d'autant plus que la visite du Mont Saint Michel est à 5 mn en voiture, bonne restauration à quelques minutes à pied. Nous pensons y retourner mais cette fois en été.

It is a charming hotel where we were really made to feel welcome. Willy went out of his way to recommend and make bookings for us at local restaurants, help us with planning our last day, helping us change our car reservations. We had a really lovely time consequently. Highly recommend it.

Phenomenal inn with Willie, his wife and the mascot, London, the two-year old English bulldog. Spotless inn with the most comfortable bed I’ve ever experienced. Wonderful food and great service, above and beyond anything expected!
