”The carpet is a one giant door mat. No separation of what your shoes can track inside. Other than that, it was the essential. A bed, a shower, tv, chair, and dresser.”

”I have never been stated such as bad hotel in my life….. overall is very very bad experience with this hotel. I have booked 2 non smoking rooms and hotel provided me on smoking room instead and it was worse than any other property. Guests shouldn’t choose this hotel.”

”It would have helped if there was more and better food to buy from machines or at the desk when the restaurant was closed on Monday. When we arrived on Monday evening, we were too exhausted to drive out to find another place to eat. So we had to eat mac and cheese bought at the snack area. It was not very special.”

”Every time my wife and I visit New Haven, we stay at this hotel. The staff is consistently incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms are always spotless. We thoroughly enjoy our stay there, and the breakfast is simply delicious.”

”If an IKEA opened a beach motel it would look like the Surfside! Room was bare, cool and clean. The entire place (rooms and common areas) have the same flooring that was sticky no matter where you walk. If they un-sticky the floors this place is a cute little 10/10. The rest of it was really clean. People were really friendly, location is great.”

”I have to shout out Michelle! She is absolutely amazing! She helped me out so much after a horrible experience at another “hotel” that lacked competency. She allowed an early check in and just have a great experience to end the trip with. The staff was kind and friendly. I’m very pleased with this stay. Highly recommend!”

”Upon arriving early, I was met with a friendly host who was kind enough to let me check in. He explained the amenities and let me know about the complimentary breakfast. There are two elevators- and it was was easy to find our room. It was a very functional suite with a kitchen/living room and pull out couch. The bedroom had two queen beds which my parents loved- they said it was so comfortable and they slept well! Bathroom was clean and only had a stand up shower. The continental breakfast was...
