Hostellit – Belize

”This might be the first negative review I’ve ever left here. This property legit had us bathing, brushing our teeth and washing our faces with disgustingly brown dirty water. When we complained they said they would forward our complaint to the manager and even the staff agreed our water wasn’t at all sanitary. My friend and I broke out in Hives and rashes and they refused to refund us even a dollar. My white Bellini turned permanently brown. And so now I’m forced to go through Expedia and my...

”After we arrived we straight bookend third night. Could stay longer! Whole Hopkins area were nice, good restaurants and friendly helpful people there. It’s safety to hitchhike there. Very nice people at the hostel too, nice shared areas. Easy to get to Cockscomb in the jungle to maybe see some jaguars. No AC at rooms so that’s something you need to get along without.”

”Wonderful location. Well named. Only a 5 min detour from the highway but secluded and safe. Surrounded by rainforest trees and an abundance of birds. I stayed there for 2 short visits and stayed in 2 different bungalows, one of which has a deck on the back that makes for great birdwatching. Very comfortable. Surprisingly low price. The owners/hosts/chefs were attentive and friendly. ”
