”Lovely characterful country house set in the beautiful South Downs National Park, but within easy reach of many other places of interest. Car needed to take full advantage of the location. Owners and staff very welcoming and bedroom comfortable (superior double room). Good breakfast served and a choice of pubs for evening meal within easy reach (by car)”

”Surprisingly good especially considering it’s pub hotel. Very comfy rooms. Modern and cozy. Complimentary water in glass refrigerated. Staff couldn’t do more to make you feel welcome. Food at the pub equally as good and service to match. I’ve already stayed couple times and will stay again. ”

”Friendly host, warm and cozy cottage atmosphere out on the country - very private and quiet too. The room was so nicely appointed and we loved the sound of the babbling stream outside. The bathroom was large and bright and had a big bathtub. Everything was so clean and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order each day. A wonderful spot away from the madding crowds but so close to so many beautiful places. ”

Very friendly and attentive staff and food choice and quality was excellent - best barbecued ribs I have had in a long time. Well kept Real Ale.”
