”Spent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh!
We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....

”Booked a double and twin room. Twin room had more recently been refurnished, furniture in double was a bit tired. Both rooms were lovely and clean. Beds were comfortable and there was a good choice of hot drinks.”
”Decent sized room and bed and bathroom was clean. Room carpet let it down with some horrible stains on it and floor boards were creaky throughout the hotel. We have a yearly family get together nearby so location was good and we will likely return next year if prices are competitive. Air conditioning was good in the room and made a big difference.”
