”Very nice Hotel on top of the hill. Really narrow road takes you to the hill where there is a beautiful view down and to the Sea. The Staff was very helpful. Everyone speaks good English. Our room was small but nicely decorated. We did not need more space. Our room needed some more cleaning when we arrived. ”We began our stay in Ischia recuperating from the trip at Samiramis. We moved Albergo Macri as a home base for day trips around Ischia and to Naples, Pozzuoli and the Amalfi Coast. We were very conveniently located to take ferries and buses for those day trips. There is an excellent restaurant just down the block, and many more around the port and further into Ischia Porto. It's a short drive from the Ischia marina, where the ferry drops you off, but the public bus (less than 3€ a ride) is right outside of the hotel to get you back to the Ischia Marina where there are countless bars and restaurants, as well as the main shopping on the island, or to Fario where you unlock another world of the island.
