”Always amazing”

”I was very much looking forward to my stay the the Hotel , it was a treat for myself as i was attending a wedding over the weeknd However i dont think i will be back any time soon :-( I stayed in room 16 and there was a loud noise coming from the bathroom ( not sure what is was ) but I had definitely no sleep at all. Reported to reception but they seem not be bothered at all. Also very loud noise in the evenings. Seen few men's in they underwear running up and down. The corridor knocking to...

”Beautiful entrance and bar area however room very dated and old. Painted furniture had lots of scuff and scrape marks no telephone to call reception or order room service, no refrigerator. Pool was closed when we arrived (16.00). Gym very minimal.”

”Friendly and professional staff. Wonderful evening meal (the Halloumi Flatbread was delicious). Good parking, spacious bedroom well appointed. The chilled complimentary fruit juice & water was much appreciated after a 400 mile journey! My only issue was that room 4 was right over the outside seating area and I can only imagine that during World Cup season this could prove to be a problem. As it was I did have the creaking stairs (access for all guests) and loud music blasting from the bar below...

”Lovely hotel”

”I booked a standard ensuite double room but upgraded to the Tudor Suite. I chose this hotel because it is hundreds of years old, which is something we don’t get to experience much in the USA! The hotel obviously has all the charm of such an old place and would be awesome for a romantic getaway (although I was traveling alone on this trip!). There is lots of parking, which is free. ”Excellent stop over for two days ”

”The staff were very friendly and the room was very clean it just lacked air con and with a tiny bedroom window regardless on the heating not being on there was hardly and airflow within the room. Couldnt fault anything else had a lovely stay”

”Solo traveller - peaceful night in a very comfortable bed and spacious room. Cleanliness up to speck with crisp white bedding and fluffy towels. Wonderful breakfast with tasty locally sourced bacon. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve chosen the Derby Arms for a stay over now, for a fussy traveller it fits the bill beautifully! Central location for Longridge/Ribble Valley.”

”This is a cute place to stay but a bit dated. It is dog friendly and it was lovely to see so many furry friends enjoying a trip! We stayed in a building round the back which had some quirky wallpaper but needed an upgrade. Interesting rules around breakfast which were explained in terrifying detail by staff who had been well briefed - "You have 30 minutes from when you enter until you must leave, and you can have one hot drink refill". That was a bit much, but we complied!”

”Room clean . Comfortable bed complimentary water . Biscuits and good selection of teas and coffee even hot chocolate. Staff amazing couldn’t be more helpful. Breakfast amazing good parking plenty of spaces. The only downside for not very tall people the bath was quite high to get in to have a shower. Overall a lovely place to stay”

”Absolutely perfect! Stayed here with my brothers for a birthday gathering and family get together. The rooms are lovely with everything you need, staff are friendly and helpful, food (breakfasts and evening meals) plentiful and tasty. Great value!”

”Perfect bolthole. It feels like stepping into a nicer universe. We stayed in a yurt again, and admittedly, the ensuite is rustic and chilly as you would expect but the main yurt was cosy and luxe even when the weather was cold. Staying on a Thursday night meant food was available and live entertainment!”

”Beautiful location with spectacular views. The room was very spacious and nicely decorated and the bathroom was stunning. Breakfast is very good and they offer both buffet and full cooked options. The things that let it down were more to do with the poor staff attitude that we encountered at Sunday lunch and when I tried to check into our room. They didn’t seem interested in helping us and didn’t get our stay off to a great start.”
