If we came back to Sea Colony, we would not come to this home. We stayed here for a week. For the first 3 days we were convinced we were not allowed to have the AC below 74... in June. This was due to an outdated note the owner left up, stating that setting the AC lower would cause the unit to freeze up and not thaw out for 24 hours. We called the Vacasa office, and this turned out not to be the case. Apparently, the owners were fine with us being uncomfortable to save a couple of bucks. Btw - that's 74 degrees downstairs. Upstairs, where my kids slept, was 80,
We arrived to find someone else's laundry in the washer and dog food in clothes closet. We later learned that there was a live hornet's nest above the front door.
Using the outdoor shower, there were not slats or platform to stand on. Just a slab which was below ground level, and they had just laid new mulch. So while washing off from the beach or pool, we stood in muddy mulch water.
Around day 5, my father in law (who is by no means obese) sat on one of the chairs on the porch, which ripped underneath him due to dry rot, and he nearly fell completely through the seat.
Closets wouldn't close. There was rust in tubs and on the refrigerator door. There's just a whole laundry list of what we didn't like.
