South Shore Marina is a gated marina community located right on the Indian River Bay. The Indian River Inlet and one of Delaware's many State Parks with a guarded beach and a concession are both just a short distance away. Enjoy the ocean or bay for boating, fishing, crabbing, clamming, and other water sports. There is an outdoor community pool, tennis courts, and deep water boat slips can be rented on a first-come-first-served basis. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the beautiful sunsets!

This spacious, bayfront, multilevel, end-unit townhouse offers outstanding views and spectacular sunsets. Enter level one from a side entrance. The garage has a shower and there is a large primary bedroom with a sitting area, a bayfront balcony, and a primary bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and a double vanity. The second level offers two primary bedrooms and bathrooms with balconies. The third level offers a kitchen, a dining area, a living area, a powder room, a balcony, and a primary bedroom and bathroom. The fourth level offers a bedroom and bathroom. This property has five smart TVs with streaming to use with your own account. There is a cinema in the garage.

All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

This home is in a gated community. Gate code provided at check-in.
Delaware regulations require all guests to sign a lease agreement within 10 days of booking. A lease agreement will be sent within 24 hours of booking and an electronic signature is required before final check-in information is made available.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great views, close to ocean, good communication

This was a great location! Enjoyed bay views while close to the ocean. Even watched dolphins from the balcony! Can take a long walk or drive a very short distance to guarded beach (parking is reasonable at $10/day for out-of-state and $5/day in-state). Especially appreciated a table large enough for family meals together. Easy access to restaurants in Bethany, Dewey, and Rehoboth. If you do have a full house, might want a larger coffee pot (5 cup provided), a large pasta pot, and a pitcher for tea, lemonade, etc. Plenty of plates and silverware for all. Appreciated the starter supply of paper products, kitchen sponge, dishwashing liquid, hand soap, shampoo/conditioner, and extra pillows. Be prepared for lots of steps as all rooms alternate going up half-levels. The kitchen and LR/DR are up 5 half-levels. Of course, you need the height for the views! Wifi for the main TV was spotty at best; consider bringing an HDMI cord to connect via computer or PlayStation. No mold (see previous reviews). The washer and dryer were replaced during our stay. (The dryer vents to an inside vent kit. May need to check directions on using that if any issues as many of these have water level requirements to work. Hope they change that as there does seem to be an opening in the wall for venting as code would require for new construction.). Vacasa was very responsive when we called; they even called BEFORE we arrived to let us know the new W/D was being delivered during our stay.

Renters beware!!

Do not be fooled by the photos. This house is not worth the stay at any price. If you have booked this house, reconsider and book elsewhere. The owners/property managers need time to make necessary repairs, do a full cleaning and provide basic supplies. Here are just a few of the reasons why we suggest booking elsewhere: • Washer does not work. The house is advertised with a washer and dryer but washer is broken. We called the property manager on the second day of our week-long stay and received an apology and we’re told the’ve “opened a ticket.” However, there was no follow up for the rest of the week. • There is no air hockey table. The basement area as advertised is absolutely false. The floor has not been swept or cleaned in what appears to be months. • There are no large pots for cooking, only saucer-size pots. We had to purchase a pot from the grocery store and boil pasta twice for a family of nine. Plus, the kitchen needs to be restocked and organized. • The house was not cleaned. In several of the bedrooms, beds were made but when you turned down the sheets, there were threads and hair. And, either the cleaners’ vacuum doesn’t work well, or carpets were not vacuumed at all. • A basket of dirty laundry was found in one of the bedrooms. • Broken blinds were found in another bedroom, with slats to the blinds hidden under the bed. While normal wear and tear is to be expected, it’s another thing completely to ignore basic hygiene.

Great Views and locale, but dated and not maintained.

The Views and location were phenomenal. The house was large (plus size bedrooms with lots of space, that can easily hold 3-4 families). However, it was extremely dated and not kept up - Water leaking in windows, paint is chipping, wallpaper is coming off, mold is developing around vents, water damage throughout the house is not being addressed and windows are faulty. . I arrived 3 hrs after check in time - when I did the cleaning people were in the house - they only started and seemed surprised we were there. After traveling 5+ hrs we had to wait - not a great start. We returned and the cleaners were gone, but clearly rushed - ants all over the wall on the kitchen/living room level, 1st floor BR carpet soaking wet from the rain coming in the window , several lights out, papers on the floor. It was clear no one came to check the place out since the last review I saw. Sunday I opened the washing machine only to find it full of water - and not operational - I called / texted the Vacasa people every day about it. I got the Vacasa call center, not sure which country that is in - but every time was put on hold to wait for them to talk to the “local-team”. I never talked to the local team and the washing machine was still broke when I left on Aug 5. - pictures used are old ones - the “cinema” shows a fooseball type game that is not there. my wife and kids tried to watch a movie in the “cinema” or garage - but as it’s not kept it’s full of ants and mosquitoes.

Wonderful property

Lovely views, every bedroom is a winner with its own little lounge area, the kitchen is well stocked and there's plenty of space for a group to be comfortable together and.apart when desired. We visited in February and got lots of time on the spacious balconies and even enjoyed watching a little snow storm. We never got to watch a movie in the garage theater, but next time!
