”Older place yet clean. Bathroom lacked vent and steamed up very quickly. shower head was harsh with little adjustment. Koi pond was cool. Pool and spa were okay. Breakfast was great. Desk staff were very friendly.”

”Staff and property was Excellent. But EXPEDIA totally messed up the reservation. Their offshore help was friendly but very unhelpful. Their unwillingness to resolve their screw-up cost be $$$ (and I am just a low paid worker), so it made the caused the entire stay to be miserable”

”The Shire is in a wonderful location and I would recommend for a short stay. They are in the midst of a renovation and the rooms and exterior are nice and well kept. My only issue was that the coffee bars were not well stocked all the time with the same variety and the ice machine was not well stocked as it ran out of water to produce ice during our 2 night stay. Otherwise, the place and location is wonderful.”

”We had stayed here before, and it had changed. We had trouble communicating with the staff, although they were friendly and smiled a lot. The staff was not at the desk at times. There was no ice. There was no outdoor furniture. Yet, all things considered, we got our money's worth, and the location is great by the river.”

”Beautiful upon arrival we were greeted by the host. She took plenty of time to show us around the property and explain how the bed-and-breakfast works and all the details of the winery brewery excellent day! Days of day.”
