”The hotel is very impressive as soon as you walk in. To be such an old historic building, it has been well taken care of! Our room was large, and the air-conditioning was wonderful for the Galveston humidity. My wife got cold and made me turn the thermostat up. The upstairs bar gives a great view of the harbor and is very nice and modern. Drink and food were great. Parking attendants were very polite and fast when we checked out. The price is a little steeper than our normal stays, but if...

PARKING or lack thereof practically ruins the whole vibe especially when there is a live music event on the weekend - you'll have to park across off the busy seawall road and feel uneasy about the safety of your car with all the late nighters whizzing by.
NOISE level was high with a room facing the pool (looks like all their rooms do) and the pool seemed overcrowded for its smaller size....

However, the room size was small and musty smell of the carpet was quite annoying.
In addition, it was very disappointing and upsetting in the modern renovated bathrooms.
The waterhole in the shower was filled with mold and rust.
Change to a new carpet, change your shower, or clean with Clorax.
There is absolutely no intention of revisiting.”
