”The property is a small but highly functional and comfortable farm house. The property is isolated enough to be quiet and enjoy nature ( we had tons of lightning bugs and saw a doe our first night), but is a quick drive to Gettysburg/Battlefield/Biglerville. The snacks and fresh farm raised fruit was a nice bonus! Would recommend to all! ”

”I loved this charming farmhouse. The kids had a wonderful time despite not having Internet. loved the yard. my husband went out on the boat. It was a little hard to row with all the algae, but he said it was good exercise. I would definitely stay here again.”

”Charming home. You can feel the history in the house and on the entire property. Sitting on the porch in the evening and just watching the fireflies come out, the deer passing through, and hearing the wild turkeys above us, so serene. We spent the days touring Gettysburg and Harpers Ferry taking in all the history and then returned home and we would think about thr history that took place here. If you are looking for a place that is quiet and where you can unwind but still be close to everything...

”It was the most stunning surprise as we walked into this richly decorated, most beautiful home. Check in and communication with the host ensured ease of the process. We took full advantage of the fully equiped home and and kitchen and never left after our arrival as we ate meals in the garden and dinner in the dining room. The beds are so comfortable and the sheets were top quality. We enjoyed the weekend so much we are booking for next year.”

”The Happy Hen was the perfect spot for my wife and I and our two children, aged 10 and 6. Minutes away from the battlefield, with a very convenient Dollar General just down the road, the HH was cozy and delightful. We intend to stay again in the future.”

”The cow house as we affectionately referred to our rental before going was wonderful. Excellent location to get to my daughter who’s staying nearby. Large wonderful old farmhouse perfect for live action clue. Great pool. Great fire pit- bring s’mores! Responsive host. Would definitely stay again.”

”Our family enjoyed staying here when our extended family camped at Corodus instead of tenting. It was near enough to park that it wasn't an issue traveling back and forth. The house was VERY clean. Window ac worked well. Having a washer/dryer plus detergent was a nice bonus. Also having all linens and paper supplies, soaps , etc. supplied was very beneficial. Having coffee,tea,hot chocolate station was nice. Communication with host was great before, during, and after. Also, having a...
