Biogradska Goran kansallispuisto: Opastetut kierrokset ja aktiviteetit

Don't pay attention to the signs - the hike up Mt Bendovac takes longer than it says! But it's absolutely worth it. Most of the hike is along a gravel track and the trees are so high you can't see much at all. But once you get to the top, you have a beautiful view over Biogradska National Park. #hiking

Not the most spectacular national park, but still really nice. There´s a campsite in the woods which I recommend using. There are a lot of tourists coming to the lake for a day trip (or rather for a couple of hours), but in the evening/at night there are not a lot of people left.

We waited until sunset so i could take this image and walk back down for 5 km in the dark with a headlamp ;)
I was perfect happy that evening.

Montenegro has four national parks and Biogradska Gora is the smallest and oldest. This is Biogradska Lake, and you can take a very easy walk around it in less than an hour.

More adventurous walkers can walk to Mt Bendovac, although be warned the walk takes almost double the advertised 1 hour and 45 minutes.

There is no public transport from the nearest town of Kolasin, to Biogradska. A bus can drop you at the bottom of the road to the lake, but it's about an hour walk. Either hire a taxi to bring you here or ask other visitors in the town and see if anyone is driving out here.
